Robs banks

With gal
Named Sal

For tasks
Wear masks

Take loot
And scoot

Foot race
Cops chase

Both caught
All naught

Both ruffed
And cuffed

To jail
No bail

Court date
Learned fate

Judge tough
No guff

To pen
For ten...

Listen to poem:
i walked
my darling
to heaven’s gate
i had to leave him
at the door
i was told
in no uncertain terms
to scoot
head back
must wait my turn
so just like that
i kissed him
and left my darling
safe at heaven’s door

Scavengers
They come.
Dark winged shadows in the sun,
a dozen, two, maybe more on the run.
Winged crows, no, ravens four score
hovering than landing on the earthen floor.
Small birds and squirrels once feeding
scoot away from the sudden heaving
these scavengers in flight
  create dismay not delight....

Premium Member I Feel Lucky
patients arrive behind canes
scoot around in walkers
some are being pushed in wheelchairs

they look old, ancient, elderly to me
I hear them give their birthdates and I am shocked
Many are younger than I am

This makes me grateful
I may have arthritis in both ankles
but I can still walk in without help
I feel lucky...

Premium Member Feast Your Eyes
They scoot up trees with the greatest of ease
Then down again, like Swedes on skis

Exquisite balance changing gears
They zoom around throughout the years

Wherever you live, city or rural
Feast your eyes upon a whip-tailed squirrel

Mama Was An Alien
my mama was an alien,
my daddy was an engineer,
and i was spawned
from the borg one morn
with keyboards in my ears,
in my eeeeearrs.

they call me the microsoft hacker,

and i'm gooonne

i wonder how your PC's feeln'

Secrets In the City
The traffic flows across the bridge
Without me even knowing
About the drivers, not a smidge,
Or where the heck they’re going.

The same applies to passersby,
A flock of strangers streaming,
Who stroll or jog or scoot, while I,
Upon my bench, sit dreaming.

The city holds one’s secrets close,
Which many find appealing,
Though some succumb and overdose
On all of that concealing....

Chew Chew Chew Tear Tear Tear
Dance of the dog; bone in the air.
Throw and catch. Catch and throw.
Playful puppy. No! No! No!

He’s on the couch, now on the chair.
A bull goes whizzing high in the air.
Jump Jump Jump Jump and Play.
He’s loyal and happy, every day.

Chew Chew Chew Tear Tear Tear
Here he comes. The big galoot.
He is on my lap. Woot! Woot! Woot!
Dance of the pup; I happily scoot....

DOUBLE THE LIMERICK

There was an old lady from Crete
Who had a goat that continued to bleat
So she took it up the road
For her neighbours to goad
Who in turn kicked it out on the street

Now to this, the bleating goat took offence
So on another neighbour, jumped their fence
Ate all their veggies, to boot
Until the neighbour did, scoot
Back to the first neighbour for recompense

Premium Member Meeting a Hedgehog
She is feeding her hedgehog a dandelion brew.
We do not interrupt her until she is through.
How does he like it? We ask as he slurps.
See for yourself she says, as he gives some loud burps.

Persnickety hedgehog says, “Why don’t you ask me yourself?”
I scoot myself a bit farther back on the oak limb’s magical shelf.
Don’t be shy! The hedgehog says. Any more questions for me?
I try to pretend I am one with the tree....

On Recognizing My Projections
Mother and child
scoot across the boardwalk
baby safe in belly as she runs -
the day is precious
and blue.

Ancient lovers
dance slowly
and deliberately,
down the walkway,
heads down,
chatting, discussing,
being with his arm
dropped gently
across her shoulder
like a statement -
a special spot he always finds
to comfort.
My own tears
come
uncomplicated,
(time never waits)
bitter
sweet.

Premium Member Their Listener For the Day
I am a listener
My eyes say “tell me”
And people do

Waitresses ask me to scoot over
I have never seen them before
They tell me their life story

Strangers and I converse
in grocery stores, on airplanes, at funerals and weddings
I listen with my heart

And I do not offer advice
I merely listen
It is enough

I often hug a new “person’ goodbye
And they cling to me
I am their listener for the day
And it makes a difference...

--The opening of a new life--

Airborne smiles under a pessimistic cloud
Peaceful living memories, wiping every frown
Vibrant beams throughout the night
The outflow shadows cloud nine;

Scoot away from the pain,
Enjoy all eyes towards the gateway
An endless fate awaits

Maybe not today
Perhaps not tomorrow

And just Believe--

Premium Member Devil Goblin
Goblin slid into place and surrounded the maid
VeeLee felt his presence, turned and looked at the window shade
He saw her shiver, she somehow sensed that he was there
Goblin slid around her body, and slipped up the stair

With his devil’s head and his black ebony coat,
Goblin was one to be taken seriously, one writer wrote
Another empath who felt his presence as plain as VeeLee
He began to scoot into the darkness, feeling devilish and free...

Razor Witch
Razor Witch
Come hear my sweet!
Come to my house
To trick or treat,
Nothing will beat
What I have to eat.

My face is rather green
But I’m nice to meet.
My nose is very crooked,
But my black teeth
Will widely greet.

If you are nice boys and girls
I’ll give you poison or
Candy full of
Razors to eat!

So scoot your
Feet over here
And come trick or treat
On my side of the street.
I’ll make your gums bleed
For Halloween, my Sweet!...

Premium Member Exposure
My old camera
Holds old agendas

Awaits a new roll
Colour film to poll

Old-time pleasures wait
To develop fate

Digital days style
Out-of-date new miles

Who uses film now
When e-films endow

The sunset days fly
Old horizons die

Exposure now tossed
Do I sense a loss?

Odd camera here
Fragment of old spheres

Point, aim, click and shoot:
Old times softly scoot

Ideas To Ponder
Hitch up those gitches and ambulate across the way to a brother's abode and visit awhile on the settee. Don't beat the mule for stubbornness he's just a creature of the earth.

Did you burn a yule log to purify your home from grudges!

Jan. 6th Kings day....suppose to be the day the wise men met the new born Jesus. 12 days post birth.

you are a hoot....but I've got to scoot on down to the sanctuary for soul revival....need a little pep in my boots...

Dispatch To Driver
Monday- Mind those that are walking and who concentrate on talking.

Tuesday- Watch those that are cycling, they avoid puddles to try and keep their bike clean.

Wednesday- Look for those that are running, some of them do look quite stunning.

Thursday- Beware of those that are scooting, they go quite fast no matter what their route is.

Friday- The same as every day gone past, the one special rule, is make sure you get them all safely to school....

Premium Member Armadillo, Peccadillo
Armadillo,
peccadillo,
armored, slow, but
sneaky fellow
when confronted,
rather yellow
some say, very
cute!

Armadillo
peccadillo,
leprosy and
such diseases
not aggressive,
somewhat mellow
he's a nasty
brute!

Armadillo,
peccadillo,
please stay in the
open fields, not
tearing up my
daffodils and
nibbling to the
root!

Armadillo,
peccadillo,
please return to
Amarillo,
and even though
you travel slow,
now skedaddle,
scoot!...

Premium Member Ah, Golfslangadang
Grip it, rip it, stick it.
Bombed it, flopped it, topped it too.

Stay, sit, slice, scoot,
Run, kick, roll, draw,
Carry, fly, die, spin,
Watch the little ball go in.

Hop, get up, get down,
Break, oh please just bite,
Ah, the glories of the ball in flight.

On the screws, hit it pure,
Nailed it, straight and sure,
Chunked it, yanked it,
Shanked it, pulled...
Oh, it broke the other way,
Sorry guys I got fooled...
Not my day.

Premium Member Ted Tipper the Male Stripper
There once was a stripper named Tipper
who used tape instead of the snipper.
Duck tape was his friend
When he did a back bend
But his pec’s still popped his side zipper.

Once while topless he pranced cross the floor
On each nipple a tassle he wore
Round they did twirl
Just like the girls
Ole Ted Tipper was never a bore.

Cross the stage he would scoot
In his red "do me" boots
long locks on his head
of real pretty red
and he'd bring in a whole LOTTA loot!...

Premium Member A Trail of Gray Mice
A trail of gray mice scoot around the perimeter of the living room
Staying close to their scout, hugging the walls as they turn corners
I feel their fear, but admire their single file line and their stealth
They stare at me. One turns and sticks her tongue out.
I assume she is a she; they are usually the most aggressive of most species.
I laugh and ask what they want for breakfast this morning.
Feisty one points to the peanut butter jar.
No surprise.
Same as yesterday....
