Jello Shots

A man swallowed Jello shots
Then fell on some cooking pots
He was burnt and scolded
He fell against the wall
Looked like he was doing some squats

Husbands In Heaven

A man stands no chance with a woman,
With red eyes she schemes in a coven,
     So scolded or not,
     If he wants a shot,
He'll be better off with a husband.

Husbands Are In Heaven Whose Wives Scold Not

There once was a wife who scolded
All her notes to her hubby were bolded
He weathered her nagginess
Owned his inner fagginess
Worked out fine. Is that too cold, Ed?

Medicine Woman Guards Her Tribe

Medicine Woman resposes at the top of the summit
surveying her village, protecting her tribe
a brave’s job, her mother scolded her
Medicine Woman scoffs, keeping a sharp eye out

Posting

post a poem
get scolded
there just waiting
pondering
on his next monometer
thoughts racing for a mimic
on his eight foot octameter
once again pondering
if he'll jolt it for yet another mimic

Pope Leo XIV

I love you!
I’m so happy you scolded Pres. Trump
Also mentioned
You’re ashamed to be called American

That is so good!
You even compared him with Jesus Christ
That is so good!
For me you’re the best Pope

Something More

Breaking down,
scolded,
each day a piece of me falls away

with each blow
I lose my love for you
with each word
it sinks deeper into my soul

once so in love
you've worn me down
I am weak
motionless

helpless

A Sullen Silken Star

Stiffly staring
from a faded
frightened far
is a sullen
silken star.
Scornfully
scattered behind
it’s skittish
skin of scolded
scowling scars.
Youthfully
yearning
for a life
contentedly
cleansed in
candlelight.

Mockingbird

The tomcat squeal of a deceiving tongue.
We are scolded
with cattle-prods of sound.
Swung upon chains of echoes,
nailed to aria’s with rusty spikes.

Bird of a thousand jeers,
a hundred memes and parodies.
will you shut up already.

Into Coma Started Sinking and More

Into Coma Started Sinking

Try to write awful Poem was thinking,
Until both of my eyes started blinking;
Both hands folded,
And was scolded;
Into another coma had started sinking.

What Time Said When I Complained

Time scolded, “Don’t you know,
as your days come and go,
they will bring good AND bad?
You’re blessed. You should be glad.
Thank God for all you’ve had!”

Damaged

undone
mistreated
hurt and injured
unknown haunted secrets
shadows

so young
just a child
scolded in fear
berated in the dark
maltreat

harmful
wrongdoings
scared and alone
why can’t he be punished?
damage

Lessons of Life

“Life” I scolded, the other day

For

Her insistence on repeating the same lessons

Innumerable times.

“If you had learned the first time around, no

need would have been there for me to go over

them again!” She, austerely, replied.

A Narrow Escape In the Coffee Shop

In the coffee shop
A mistimed twist
By the barista
Caused a hissing
Coffee jet to
Ballista towards
My sister and I
Worried it would
Hit her wrist and
Give her a blister,
But fortunately
It missed her.

The manager scolded
The ham-fisted barista,
But since no-one was scalded,
He didn’t dismiss her.

Jack and Jill

Pa sent Jack and Jill to the local pub to fetch a pail of beer.

Alas, Jack tripped, spilled the beer and landed on his rear!

The old man scolded them and had a conniption fit!

Saying, "At deliverin' my daily beer youse ain't worth a whit!"

I supply the stores,

We don't admonish the sourest implore!

The Dread of Winter

The approach of winter she silently dread.
The cat is meowing, demands to be fed.
She checked her to do list that ran thru her head:
get to the gym, to the store to buy bread,
finish the book that she's partially read..
She scolded herself to get up from the bed
but the warmth from the comforter cocooned her instead..

Prissy Tale

Have you ever been snobbed by a cat?
Scolded with a slap from a paw?

Has a warm fluffy ball purrred you to sleep?
Have your unmentionables been itchy with fur?

Kittens died in their sleep?

Then you know the Joy and pain
of being allowed to keep company with a persnickety cat.
Who wants to be the boss of everyone.

Teddy

TEDDY
Teddy is my friend
He hugged me when mummy died
And wouldn’t eat, when I wouldn’t
I cried for days, he did too
The next door kid ripped his leg
And I bit her, hard on the neck
Her mummy called and daddy scolded
I and teddy
He smiled and I sew his leg back on
And made him a crutch
And he still hugs me
When I cry for mummy.

The Voice

The voice

The voice that hushed
The voice that sung
The voice that whispered

The voice that scolded
The voice that was cold

The voice that was warm
The voice that praised
The voice that encouraged

The voice I recognize
The voice I remember
The voice I know
The voice of mum
The voice
That was, is and will always be hers.

Shoreline

What if the sea stopped moving,
lay as still as setting concrete?
And all around the gulls
scolded a lament
as seals flapped aimlessly,
trying to raise a swell.
With cormorants stranded on a rock
as poised as a question mark,
while crabs scuttled everyway
as if dancing on hot plates,
becoming the uncovered prey
of seabirds and small boys.

Dream

I stand in a beautiful land,
Where everywhere full of beauty.
I am surrounded by flowers,
It's a flower garden.
The beauty of flowers Scolded my Eyes,
Body and mind Comes in contact flower soft touch;
The time has stopped What an obsession...
Suddenly the eyes opened,
Is it a Dream? What a beautiful dream!
Oh! I wish If I will die by flowers smell.

Ghetto Story

The fame of glory,
They told me,
Our old father's story,
We were told we are holy,
Living the same life,
We are living stingy,
In penury we are happy,
What a pity!!!
Dirty gifts becomes an embraced thing,
Poverty reigns,
Injustice a king we behold,
Scolded truth in tune,
We were fooled,
That's the only way out,
Dishonesty the rule,
A way of life,
To a sound of their mind.

My Notes

Scolded,
For my music,
The music that makes up,
My whole existence,
The music that defines me.
If I never had these notes in my head.
I would never be me.
I might not even exist.
These tunes have gotten me through it,
Through all of it.
How can you tell me not to play these notes?
These notes in my head.
They soothe the pain that exists,
Within my deepest confines.

Ma Dropping It Like Its Hot (Limerick)

Ms. Potter caught her daughter Lollipop
There dancing in the grocer’s parking lot
And scolded her profusely
‘Til someone cranked up “Juicy”…
Ms. Potter stopped and dropped it like it’s hot

Comments:
How soon some forget that they were once young too. If the power of dance is ones
passion it is not the worst vice a child can have, in fact it is good exercise. One
