No I won't wish for treasures there
not silver thread or starlit hair,
not for the passion of a comet's blaze
nor golden glow of starlit haze.

My only wish to hold the pearly moon

in lapis lazuli does day respire.
The seashore chimes its solitary rune
as tentative the lapping waves acquire
the briny echo of a mermaid's lyre.
Though timidly does surf caress the beach
in mirrored shades of night as they conspire,
brave wisps of comets in the untold reach
of space diffuse and pluck my heart into the breach....

of your cloak

Your garden overgrown

demeans what should be your glory

in Croham woods that hold me...

We’ve come so far from planet Earth
Where of lithium there’s a dearth
Mining is more risk than its worth

I guess we did ignore that rune
We ran out of fuel just too soon

I see some of it on my hand lightly cast
It’s a grey, white light that’s been beaming since birth
I just don’t know how long the moonlight will last
For clouds may start to form on top of the moon
But now the moon ray lights like an ancient rune
There’s no colors present within the moonlight
It shines ever-presently, showing its might
