Reticence
He made me the centre of gravity.

Pride dressed, lone like blood moon

Whose deserted home became vanity

Did I become evil or was I rune?

Greater insight and realized sanity,

I was the diamond his life festoon....

From inside looking out my hourglass
I watched as nature painted winter's grass
Entranced from listening to her rhythmic rune
One April watercolor afternoon.

Play Me a Happy Tune
Play me a happy tune
So loud and so clear
I’ll make music my rune
And be delighted to hear

It’ll bring me a smile
For a need one this time
Let me listen for a while
Close my eyes it’ll be just fine.

The True Love of Suffering With Your Pain,
Rune the world, all of me,
Why did you do it?
Come to me,
What is that?
Speak to me,
behind which you are ours.

My life is now
all this is the
length of the thorns,
Leave the ones
you walk on flowers,
It is now
you are ours....

I whisper to the winter moon
in dialects of falling snow
the lyrics of my flurried rune.

I whisper to the winter moon
my wish for spring with blossoms strewn
piano and adagio.

I whisper to the winter moon

Looming Moon
I always Fascinated by moon
And always imagine it by noon.
Loving you by tune
Remembering it by loom,
And by the dawn wishing to be here soon
Every Dancing scripted rune
Reminds the piece of you.

That Sable Rune
Repugnant Pugilist,

A Lummox dim with a rubble fist.

Rock to Roc’s Feather.

A Stalwart Rook to blotted weather.

An over armored Savant slain by adhoc ether.

Hands empty without effort.

That sweet and Sable Rune.

Opening the Gates of Nether.

Dark moon day of August
I stepping on a nail
hospital tetanus shot
I draw Kenaz from my Rune bag

Sitting out at night
First time crickets sing
Starry sky's Milky Way
Two shooting stars see me

My black cat runs by
Dog howls down the road
Forest spirits are afoot
Really too much magic...

Happy Halloween
Listen, chicks and girls,
All around the world,
'Tis Happy Halloween,
This is our one true scene,
A time for our ghouls,
And spiders' drools,
By candlelight,
Charms recite,
With female energy,
Fly broom to me,
Then uppity,
Fly so speedily,
Across the moon,
Reading this rune,
Away we'll zoom,
All our cars are brooms!...

Glad Lady of Summer
G-lad lady of summer
L-ets my pen write a rune;
A-llowing me to create a rhyme,
D-ay twenty-three of June.
Y-our happiness at dawn brings complete delight,
S-unshine in the morning carries a burning light.

R-ainy night has passed by,
E-vening cold chill is over;
Y-ou're so cheerful woman,
E-ver glad lady of
S-ummer....

Fate
Oh! A shilly-shally puzzle it is
an oracle's unfulfilled prophecy
a snarl of vagrant kind it is.
A riddle quite hazy to resolve.
May the impending morrows,
untangle this weird rune.
May the tale bearer blurt out
the augury of my future.
Can it be a mirth or gloom?
The all knowing superior deity
laughs at my uncanny anxiety....

Poetry
Poetry
A brief journey
Taking us places
In the infinite spaces
Between the words

Poetry
A Dragonfly
On a Lotus Flower
The inspiring power
Of flying birds

Poetry
The right brain sings
Its mystical tune
A secret rune
The soul's pure voice

Poetry
What it is
Is hard to say
It's better that way
There's no other choice...

Every Word Matters
S-ee what the poem brings,
E-very word really matters;
T-he way the rune is created,
H-appiness is caused by verse.

M-ade rhyme's every word
O-f wisdom is thought twice;
N-ew ideas come to mind, felt by heart, gazed by eyes.

P-ick each lined letter
A-nd read what comes first;
J-uly twenty-seventh morn,
E-very word truly matters....

A Boon
Gentle soul grant thee a boon
the dawn is coming much too soon.
No I won't wish for treasures there
not silver thread or starlit hair,
not for the passion of a comet's blaze
nor golden glow of starlit haze.

My only wish to hold the pearly moon
that rests at the throat forever.
That loving, glowing midnight rune
that sews my universe together....

Demi God
Phantom white,

illuminated by the flight

of the stars across my eyes

bursting power synchronized

with the rising of the moon

chanted in an ancient rune

spoken secretly by slaves

bowing at their master's graves

in the pyramids of pain

where I meet you once again

on your way to someone new......

another soul to worship you....

Dark music floods my chamber
Like a slowly rising tide
That laps against the silence
Where my fondest dreams reside.

Dark music bathes the morning
With its languid, liquid tune,
Conundrum-like concerto,
Every note a cryptic rune.

Dark music wakes me gently
From the warm embrace of sleep
And sings to me of treasures
I can have, but never keep....

Gardens of Regrets
David J Walker

Here is how we thrive on grief
Grown in gardens of regrets
just beyond a pale belief
Preserving how one forgets
Rehearsing erstwhile
tactile threats

Here is how we thrive on life
And laugh at epithets in rune
And dance a thunderstorms delight
A summers night enbibed in June
Perceiving fractal
 		Cursive cume...

Premium Member Seashore In Lapis Lazuli
Crepuscular is waning afternoon,
in lapis lazuli does day respire.
The seashore chimes its solitary rune
as tentative the lapping waves acquire
the briny echo of a mermaid's lyre.
Though timidly does surf caress the beach
in mirrored shades of night as they conspire,
brave wisps of comets in the untold reach
of space diffuse and pluck my heart into the breach....

Celestialice
You wrap yourself in a blanket of light
star sapphires in your hair
you own the essence of the night
your visage young and fair
rebukes the breaking of the dawn
recites a rolling rune
you yearn for evening to go on
alas the waning moon
      portends the shredding
of your cloak
the points of light grow dim
you fail at daylights fatal stroke
your leaving is a hymn....

We Still Sinking
Although you've watched the world
and rode the word
You've never known your age
until at 60 it arrives

Decidedly single
albeit with penfriends
you straddle the torments
70s music for recompense

Your garden overgrown
to save on gardeners fees
demeans what should be your glory
like a full set of hair
that you lack
but i carve my rune on the elm bough
in Croham woods that hold me...

One Small Step
ONE SMALL STEP

Saw writing on the wall, I swear
There was a warning symbol there
Your trip in space, a bad affair

Short by one extra mile

We’ve come so far from planet Earth
Where of lithium there’s a dearth
Mining is more risk than its worth

Short by one extra mile

Due to land on this unique moon
I guess we did ignore that rune
We ran out of fuel just too soon

Short by one extra mile...

The moon ray comes down to be upon the Earth I see some of it on my hand lightly cast It’s a grey, white light that’s been beaming since birth I just don’t know how long the moonlight will last For clouds may start to form on top of the moon But now the moon ray lights like an ancient rune There’s no colors present within the moonlight It shines ever-presently, showing its might
