Runaways
Betrayed innocence
Feet step from the city bus
Their eyes fixed in awe
Where will the new roads take them?
May they soon be led back home...

Boy's Howl Tonight
Runaways kicking cans
down the street, singing
haunting tunes to a
wolfmans moon.

Reluctant to be a child
Unsupervised in the wild
Never dreamed of trafficking
All the screams inside happening
Wide eyed and busy tail
All points bulletin for sale
Youth is lost sold to a John
Simple teen years now gone...

Runaways
Like a fabric that is strong,
but damp all the way through,
my body, soul, and mind,
exist the same as you.

My thoughts are like runaways,
that do not like their home,
they mingle with my reasoning,
and become what I know....

The Color
The colours
They robbed
The shapes
Them runaways
The blankness
Moments with you
And the memories
Of your hunger
The truth
Yes the truth
The companion

The fork and the spoon
And the grease
On the plate
Of the pork
The bend of the pavement
Moments with you
And the memories
Of your hunget
The truth

The colours
They really robbed...

The Runaways
Me and my friends were known as the runaways
I guess we earned that title
Every weekend we ran away from home
We would ditch school and not come home
We would be out all night
Just a group of kids having fun
Until one weekend we lost one of our members
He was my lover of the group
I lost my virginity to him
But thats the only thing he wanted from me
I haven't seen him since and I guess I never will...

When the Outcasts Meet the Runaways
When the Outcasts Meet the Runaways

When the outcasts meet the runaways,
and the rejects meet the lost.
All those who feel stepped on,
all those society tossed.

When the odd ones lift the fallen, and the fallen rise up strong.
All those who feel unwelcome,
all those who dream to belong.

When the kind hearts meet the broken,
and the quiet scream their name
All those who are united,
all those crazy’s meet their sane....

Premium Member Missed
You are the first thing
I think of when I wake.

The sky outside is blue,
But I pray it is bluer for you.

If there is rain…?,
May it water the flowers,
closest to where you walk.

Storms, violence and war,
My heart lingers in prayer
here…
for “your” every breath.

Come home soon.
You are missed.
We are broken,
and…less without you.

Your family,
Your friends,
Those that know … You,
lift you, think of you,
Pray… for you.

Amen....

Behind the Carved Marbles
As I was disinterring the silent hideaways
I could find many quivery runaways
Wreathed on worm.

Unaware of me they were
Behind the carved marble
They were wriggling in mass.

Then when I watched them all excreting
It never scared me as they were breeding

But, it just scared me when I saw
They were dribbling in halo

The leprous feeling came over
It just drilled me so sober

Some of them wizened
Some of them drenched
That’s the reason they are blessed....

Poem For a Runaway
run away,
runaway,
they won’t find you,
run away.

take to the sky,
they won’t follow,
they can’t fly,
fly away.

don’t look back,
to the troubles you left,
just look forward,
to the freedom ahead.

don’t do it alone,
there are others,
find them,
runaways.

they’re in hiding,
all around,
you can’t see them,
but I can.

join me,
I’m one of them.
follow me,
join my flock.

we’ll keep you save,
you’re one of us.
don’t look back,
freedoms ahead....

An abandoned treehouse left to rot
intrigued a pair of inquisitive teens;
Suspended in the air like a starship
a haven for Gulf coast runaways;

Intrigued a pair of inquisitive teens
approached it’s elevated pathway;
So much loitered so still was the wind;

Suspended in the air like a starship,
who built it way out in the sticks?
Surely the location was by design;

A haven for Gulf coast runaways;
Four walls of incoherent ramblings
as a diary hid buried with the answers....

Snapshots of You
Once we were inseparable
Two runaways against the world
You were my shelter from their frost
And together we could fight all who would limit us
5 years later and our views shifted
My universe collapsed and I built it back stronger
Too strong for me to need you by my side
Now I see you on the train some days
And catch a glimpse of your dark hair
Only to keep my mind and mouth shut
turning away from us once more
But saving the moments
a photo album of lost regrets:
Snapshots of you...
