Poem For a Runaway
run away,
runaway,
they won’t find you,
run away.
take to the sky,
they won’t follow,
they can’t fly,
fly away.
don’t look back,
to the troubles you left,
just look forward,
to the freedom ahead.
don’t do it alone,
there are others,
find them,
runaways.
they’re in hiding,
all around,
you can’t see them,
but I can.
join me,
I’m one of them.
follow me,
join my flock.
we’ll keep you save,
you’re one of us.
don’t look back,
freedoms ahead.
