Up on the roof top
yellow stains upon the snow
even reindeer have to go.

• The roof is leaking red
• But I don't know why
• Not like I'm concerned about it
• I just watch the time fly by
Sandals on the roof
but no one did it.
Each child grinning.
Some pointing to others
A four-year-old laughing so hard
he gives himself away
Ugly yellow sly cat sits on a roof
After sipping liquor sixty proof
we went on inside
So she could just hide
She disappeared instantly in a poof
Rainfall pounds on the roof,
sounds like it's dropping critters.
can't hear myself think,
and it's giving me the jitters!

On the edge of sleep
lulled by the rain on the roof
my fluffy pillow
whispers a telling secret
sudden damper on my dreams
written 17 January 2016
I hear them on the
Roof of my house, the flying
Witches land on my
Shingles, laughing and cackling
Wishing ill to all within
Russell Sivey
The shingles were taking a beating,
As tabbies and hounds kept on meeting.
They slid down the slate
At a terrible rate,
While the terrified owners were fleeing.
Fiddler on the roof
Fiddled with his flute
Had no money so he took to loot
No place to hide it so he stuck it in his boot
Then sat on his roof and fiddled with his flute.
There's a fiddler on the White House roof.
As the world burns, he is clearly aloof.
Just like Emperor Nero,
he is surely no hero,
and frankly we've had enough of this goof.
three cats on the roof
mew to the moon to come down
with a can of fish

Hit Roof When Up Would Goof
A raving maniac, there might be proof,
They had said that each time I hit roof,
With my head;
Bled and bled,
When and where up would always goof.
Jim Horn
the artistic faerie had the cutest roof on her house
We were not sure how she did it, but it was fine.
It had flowers and swirls and a curvy tip, said the mouse.
I asked her if she could help me recreate mine.
Praise the Lord!
You could hear it from the roof tops
Thank the Lord!
He deeply loves us so much non-stop
I thank my Father
Too I thank His precious Son
For a really great life
That the Lord and Jesus both have shown
Roof we perhaps ignore
is a patient secret listener
hearing laughter and insults
silently doing her things
recording, sorting, tallying
never letting cats out of bags
when storm invites her to go
she flies with all data
when they made a goof
we had found proof on the roof
saw prints made by each hoof
we did see spry deer
which on our roof would appear
knew Christmas was here
we opened presents
would love in every essence
with perfect pleasance
From the roof I find things
I missed when I was on the ground
I missed when I was up in a tree
I missed from my recliner
My perspective is different up here
I feel more flexible, more all-knowing, more open
I feel like an owl or an eagle
Wise and wonderful.

Placed 1st
Raindrops on thatched roofs
Partied nonstop till sunrise
Without beer or wine
Group: 4
rain reversed not an inch
rivers overflowing oceans pregnant
reverence no more repercussions
roots losing their umbilicus
repercussions of acts committed wrongly
rightly who knows what is good
she stared at me like a blind
n i stared back at the roof of the
rain

UP THE LADDER
UP THE ROOF
UP CAME A CROW
UP CAME A POOP
UP CAME MY FIST
UP CAME A SHOUT
UP CAME A TILE
UP I SLIPPED
UP ON A POST
UP CAME A SORE
UP CAME THE AMBULANCE
UP THE HOSPITAL
UP WENT THE NEEDLE
UP WENT A ROAR.

Looks like a storm
Deadliest dry storm.
Flat grey clouds
Like alley rats,
Rolling over me.
Sitting on my roof
Reading “On the Road”
Failing to absorb,
Vitamin D.
Now aware of the light
The silent strike,
Electric bolt.
You’re gone
Fried
Died
Reading Jack Kerouac.
Roof and the moon in a deep chatting session
Bare tree filling with the flood of jasmine
Clouds joining from Mesopotamian rivers
Two horses attempting to break loose

In a simple cabin, deep in the hills
Rain sprinkles against a roof of tin
Lulling softly, the voice it stills
Breathing joy, psalms flow within

Charlame’ had heard of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
She wanted to be one, thought she would be famous.
She bought herself some movie star glasses.
Sat on the roof for a while. It was not hot here.
Come on down! Her mother said.
She ignored her.
She was waiting for some fans to ask her.
A roof will cool you down
A cold drink too
A fan too
An aircond. too
A state of tolerance too
A state of patience too
And a state of calmness of the mind
Will some more cool you down
But strong desires and greeds will never do
They will turn you to ashes
Even on an icy-cold day
