A Slight Delay
The brakes squeak
and the car hisses…..
a puncture

The spare tyre replaced
the engine revs again
the journey continues.

Premium Member Motorcycle Fever
someone’s baby boy
relishing in spring fever
motorcycle revs

looks hot in leather
should be wearing a helmet
chaps over blue jeans

someone's baby boy
tearing down busy freeway

Premium Member Solo Flight
Kicks tires
Checks wires

Full stop
Revs prop

Must heed
Airspeed

Thumbs up
Climbs up

No sweat
(Not yet)

Alas
No gas

In spin
Chagrin

No chute
Oh shoot

Bad day
Mayday

Crashed plane
On plain

Washout
No doubt...

Premium Member In a New York City minute
another weekday
she awakens
to the sunrise aroma of
preset coffee brewing

her eyes still closed
she thinks about her day
and slowly starts to form
thoughts in her head

so much to do
so little time
a jolt of java
revs up the engine

give her a minute
she'll come to life
another sip
and there it is

it's all systems go!

Premium Member Sprinkling
Rain sprinkled on my forehead.
She sprinkled on my nose.
She sprinkled off my freckles.
And went other places sprinkle goes.

Rain dripped past my armpits
She dribbled down my belly.
She oozed past my knees.
Sliding past breakfast jelly.

Rain pooled in my crevices,
Luckily I did not mind being wet.
Sprinkling kind of revs me up
You would know that if we’ve met....

Stirring My Thoughts
Each morning I sit
On the edge of the bed
Stirring the thoughts
Inside of my head

One thing I've found
In the finding of out
If my thoughts sit too long
They tend to gel

So I start on the left
Stir to the right
Mixing up thoughts
Inside of my mind

I do what I do
Before I set the cruise
Revs my mind up
For a moment or two

On the edge of the bed
Where each morning I sit
Stirring the thoughts
Inside of my head...

Premium Member Orange Stimulates Every Fiber
Orange stimulates every fiber of my being
Coaxing out the most creative sides of myself
Sizzling singing slinging dazzling dancing prancing orange.

The happiest color there could ever be
She revs me up, excites my libido, enthuses and amuses
Orange increases my joy by leaps and heaps

She shows me the tango, flashes her brazen smile,
Pirouettes in high heels, and flips me some sassy.
I would be lost without orange actually; adrift and helpless....

Once Again Five Haiku
THE OLD WOMAN
The old woman
begging in busy streets
getting abused

LEAVING DAD
My mother said to me
dear son I’m divorcing your dad
good luck to him

LIVING
The engine revs and the wheels turn
my heartbeats and life goes on
in slow-motion

ASLEEP
Snoring gently the body sleeps
on a bed under the quilt
dreaming along the way

A DATE
Dating a blue nose lady
with skin as white as snow
a bulldog breed...

Premium Member My Bizarre Neighbour
he’s eccentric and bizarre
love my neighbour but only from afar
since he keeps all his doors ajar
I saw he keeps his glass eye in a jar
when in the morning he revs up his car
he pretends to be going to a seminar
he’s convinced he is a rising star
walks around in his peignoir
in his mouth a footlong cigar
and in one hand a european guitar
once he offered me some caviar
then walked away without an aurevoir!

Winnie's Builders Bum
Uniformed camels
Backpacks in the place of humps
Looking left then right
The gates inviting the herd
Ready for a new school day

Mr Jones's car
Yet again won't bloody start
It revs and splutters
Bursts into life and then flames
He works from home anyway

Winnie's rose garden
where the birds come for a bathe
and shelter from rain
There she goes, mowing again
She needs a belt for those pants.....
