Society Is Reserved
The society ousted some of it’s members and branded them as reserves
Now to look at the whole society it itself has become a massive reserve!...

Swat By Hands of Spite
Swat by hands of spite,
our sprite
(unsquelched)
sprinkles from her reserves
to revive a sacred rite;

in her hands,
speckles of if
become when....

Bacon Scare
A shortage of bacon reserves
Has Willie, pork lover, in nerves
Willie says drat
Without pig fat
I just might lose all my curves

Does the U.S. Constitution speak of marriage at all
Does it restrict giving birth to the Spring or the Fall…

Resurrection
Cold
winter
sheds its coat
and waves goodbye;
we welcome the spring.
Rejoice and sing
at Easter's
pending
warmth.

Joy
rises,
blooms anew.
The greening up
of nature's reserves.
Faith that mankind
too will thrive
past death's
curse.

The Red Tint
why do i want something to say?
i have enough other thoughts
to fritter away.
does not this day deserve
the moment of peace
i've caught?
somewhere beneath the breeze
it reserves my bloody end
for me,
one hopeful hint
before the red tint
is all i see....

Emptying the Reserves
Growing older, one observes
That energy starts waning.
Though it’s not what one deserves,
There’s no use in complaining.

Aging throws us learning curves
To deal with verve that’s draining.
When nothing’s left in the reserves,
It’s time for some refraining....

Row Your Boat
Life is but a dream, while rowing down the stream
Better to flow along in life’s mystery, some call it destiny
The present is a gift, if you catch my drift
Watch your flanks, as life & death are your banks
‘Cause your reserves are vested in your life preserve’s...

After the Rain
Airy cistern reserves now spent
Each billowing mast folds its tent
Helios hurls his flaming trident
Through singed porthole flittering glint
Fiery sparks stream through each stent
Refracted waves in mercurial columns bent
Misty water colors shroud each gilded vent
Burnt orange truffles, golden ridges resplendent...

Blowfly Buzz
An assault upon the ears
Guaranteed to fray the nerves
A testing of your patience
And resilience reserves

It drones around in circles
Flying mindlessly about
While conking into windows
But never bloody conking out

Finally it shuts up at night
You crawl to bed depleted
But the bugger wakes up instantly
And drones on undefeated...

God Has No Right
God is almighty
He reserves all rights
He can do anything
I have belief in Him

But, God has no right to forgive me!
if I steal, rob something from others,
if I embezzle something of others,
If I cheat others righteous mind,
if I rule others as tyrannical roars
on this earth, if nobody forgives me clear

Of Kings and King Makers
The decisive die is cast
No rule is hard and fast
The Rubicon crossed and more
The Senate and other arms in tow

The Queen bee not to be rocked
Drones in hives,locked
The Emperor not at all shocked
As food reserves, de-stocked

The last Act and scene unfold
The conspirators, the Emperor scold
Daggers drawn; they await their fill
He gasps "and you, Brutus?" as they seal the kill...

Gallant Scotland
Gallant Scotland's Fame

From Atlantic to North Sea
Ours is land again
With Europe’s largest oil reserves,
Our country again free.

All for Scotland’s freedom stand
Marching in national kilts,
Bagpipers are playing new hymn –
Saluting the country’s rebirth.

Caledonia – Scotland my country
With blue flag as skies above us,
White cross as innocence of Christ,
Independent, faithful and free....

The Last Time
because this may be
the last time
I sing this song
sincerely and reverently
into open air
in this place
that knows my stride
through braided seasons
seemingly without end

I sing
as the cardinal
opens the day
radiant in golden hue

I sing for you
as the song dances on air
in the intervals
between sound and silence

I sing
because this time
shall be unlike any other
echoing in the place
memory reserves as its own...

Dear Mr Moon
Dear Mr. moon up the sky
How I wonder how you are
Around the stars you always smile
And gave hope to the night

How do you do Mr. moon
Can we be best of friends, me and you?
I am so eager someday to meet you
To have little stars of my own too

Before I go to bed Mr. moon
I have sent a post card of my wishes to you
A hug for my parents, friends at home and school
For all their dreams to come true

Premium Member A Reason For Words
there is no-thing...
it is vacuum
and foundation
of reality...
we
are the perpetual
want
that holds it together
in some recognizable fashion
that is communicable...
with reserves depleted
and endlessly challenged
we stumble on blindly
perceiving and questioning
a braille reality...
but with symbols and words
we make use of our turds
and through recycling
build this...
something is missing
from winning
for losing
as to how to brake
this...
recycle of poetry

Draining the Reserves
I used to be much nicer.
I once was really sweet.
I’d smile at every stranger
I’d cross paths with on the street.

But as I’ve aged, I’ve noticed
All that charm in my reserves
Has evaporated, since so many
Folks get on my nerves.

Like the pushy, the obnoxious,
Those too loud or dense or rude –
They’ve demolished my demeanor
And displaced my attitude.

There’s a reason older people
Turn cantankerous and cross
For experience drains patience,
Which is everybody’s loss....

Knight In Silent Armor
clearly one hears clearly
in the silence of the mind
solitude does not preclude
relationships entwined

beauty's often mistaken
by those without the key
perception’s combination
ultimately sets it free

defending fortifications
a knight quietly serves
repulsing suspect incursions
protecting treasured reserves

draw not your sword with anger
or revel in other's defeat
rather seek to conquer
standing on your feet

to a knight in silent armor
humility comes with honor...
