Resentful
Charcoal colored eyes
mine have seen so much sorrow
Greiving in the past
my resentments won't subside
nor will my lover forget...

Turnabout is fair play
Resentments push
Anger inspired
Emotional wounds bleeding
Emotional scars scabbing
Hurt feelings avenged
So we try and make
Ourselves believe...

assessments
based upon
misconceptions

resentments covered

not allowing

Corner To Corner
We sit in our corners,
piling our resentments
atop each others, until they are
finally high enough that they can sufficiently block from our view that which
we can no longer bear to look at
as we sit, looking out
from our corner...

My Resentments are so ill-behaved
By and by- by them enslaved!
Was I made to be depraved,
(Just another Soul to save?)
Afraid to say or hear the Truth,
Cannot bear to see the proof
My life grows cold, alas! I'm old!
Oh, my God! Where went my youth?...

it used to be chaotic havoc in his mind
until he cleared out carnage and debris

with it went wreckage and resentments
from fear and insecurity rose serenity

not unpleasantly a moment full of emptiness

Until Later Years
Take courage and,
Turn blind eyes,
Enjoy your youthfulness.
Do not tell how life robbed you
In your old days.
Life abounds with the young,
But, old age is full of repentance,
Resentments and regrets.
Grow out of your shells and,
Seize the woman of your dream,
Go wild and,
Leave the regrets for later years....

Magic Of A Hug
When we are deformed, sad
We feel the need to be protected
With the help of a word
A look, a handshake or a hug
We manage to overcome difficult moments
Hugging cures hatred
Cures resentments
Cures anger and misunderstandings
Cures fatigue and sadness
Brings peace to the heart
Makes peace to the soul....

Resentments Stain
many things
have became
overlooked over
time
many things
have been
overshadowed
covered with
resentments stain
years of misunderstandings
years of misrepresentation
years of missteps
years of unmended mistakes
have all accumulated
a top one another to
create this valley of
emotional estrangement...

Bitterness
The robber of peace
Leaching into the soul
Like a bitter damp cold
Seeping into the bones

Harboring resentments
That long have passed
In time, but not memory
Its skill is honed

Eating away at joy
With each passing day
Until it destroys
All peaceful tones

Leaving one’s life
Empty and void
Spreading its tentacles
Out to be cloned...

Family Gathering
Flitting furtively from
family member to
family member
like a truly bumbling bee
frantically, frenetically flying
from flower to flower
frustrated at his failure
to discern the nectar of love
amongst the resentments,
the caretaker drone
strays unwittingly
into the mouth
of the family dog,
saving the others
from themselves...

Relationship Dodgeball
caught up
within a
game of
relationship
dodgeball
were harsh
words are thrown
back and
forth
in an attempt at
hit bellow the belt
try as hard as you can
to try and dodge the
resentments being
thrown from all angels
but on one can run away
forever
eventually we all will get hit
by the negativity being thrown
at us...

Promise
A promise I stood on from so long ago,
My heart had kept, and no one knows,
Regardless of experience, heartache, or grief,
The promise to love my heart would keep,
Through rain and storm, Through sunshine and heat,
No matter the weather, our hearts would meet,
Endurance and compassion keeps it alive,
Therefore you cannot look at resentments eyes....

Family Dynamics
On the surface, things are fine;
Smiles are filled with teeth,
But you never really know
What's roiling underneath.

Sometimes tiny fissures form
Releasing and revealing
Resentments tucked away that you
Believed were long past healing.

Moving forward there's a choice -
To deal or to pretend,
But talking is the only way
That there's a chance to mend....

A Letter To God
Dear God this is about me. Resentments and bitterness. These feelings I have inside of me.
From these things please set me free.

I want to feel love and kindnesses and show respect. The kind of things that you expect.
Greedy and selfish I have been. Forgive me dear God for all my sin. For when this world
ends and the new world begins, I would like to return and live again....

After the Storm
The road we travel is a road to recovery
We have seen past our pain and all of our misery
We have overcome the hardest fight of our life
We have kicked out our resentments with all of our might
We have talked about the guilt and diminished the shame
We have stopped the manipulation and all the childish games
After the storm is where our healing begins
Then we open up our minds and start to live again...

Drag Me Down Slowly
Take small offenses deep to heart
let all resentments boil and fester
Tend with care the growing hate
until you'll bear the load no longer

Seize careless phrases or random words
read looks on faces as you'd a book
Imagine the worst of every person
until you'll burst with silent rage

Now drag me down into your pit
and make me drown inside of it
But do it slow, so I will feel
that what you know is oh, so real...

I Run From Earth That's Dry and Mortal
I run from earth that's dry and mortal,
I seek for embraces that's dear,
You're born with sea foam and your portal
is shut, you cannot hear me here.

I seem to you so timid, really,
or I am really timid so?
I will be fluffy, white and silly,
I will refuse black wings of woe.

I beg you, Cypress, hear my calling
among resentments and despair,
Please, hear my cry of endless longing
and stop it, if you really care....

Four Point One
A clump of dried leaves from frail
limbs I failed to nurture,
settling on a page under
my sinking face
with a scent to lift up
the low spirits in me,
such rotten source
blessing me with remedy

The comfort we receive
from the things we couldn't save,
the purpose we gain regardless
an unfulfilled goal,
and the Love I'll always keep
even after the passing
are these propitious testaments
I can't trade for resentments

always about me
certainly no need for we
much better alone
ample anguish to bemoan
no one else here disagrees

though rather subtly
talk with me regularly
nobody to intercede
always stick to my own needs
resentments usually

no one else will win
is that really such sin
to tilt the wager
to being in my favor
never need to be chagrined

no need concealing
this ego needs some healing
recluses survive
unwanted dead or alive
we are no slaves to feelings...

I've toured the world and lived life hard,
Sordid tales I can not hide.
I've logged some miles, they're on my face
And in the baggage by my side.

I've made poor choices in the past.
Tried hard to let memories go.
But sometimes scars don't fade away,
They stay to help you know.

Every day my satchels packed,
Carrying acts that need repentance.
Swinging on the shoulders of my all girl band
The Fabulous Me and The Resentments.

Sentance
"Life" was the shout as the gabble smashed down,
ill never forget that cracking sound,
pearcing eyes from every direction,
judge and jury showing rejection.

My mind a puzzle of purple and haze,
a puddle diluted with hatred and rage,
resentments,fear,paranoia and pain,
the collabirition finally, drove me insane.

now stood sober,full of shame,
inside a room with nothing to gain,
the jailer offers a sympathetic grin,
as he takes me down for a sentance to begin....

Mind Control
mind control....
superpower
mind control....
would use it
mind control....
would wash away all
negativity
mind control....
would wipe clean all
resentments
mind control....
would sweep away all
indifference
mind control....
this power
would make things
easier
mind control....
after i was done
i would then turn the power on myself
and go about cleansing my mind of all
the negative memories that still
exist within the subconscious
mind control.......
