Since Jay decided to be a poster child
He’s reined in his tendency to go wild
   He’s quiet as a mouse
   Dead silence in the house
To laryngitis for aye reconciled

Trust Is a Must

inspiration are third person plural equivalency to me
-don't you see / honey bee, planting a tree to plant

Premium Member Childhood Bully

Bill goes to a special school.
He's unusually cruel -
catches the bus by my house.
I leave as quiet as a mouse.
He's bigger, and he's older.
I'm always looking over my shoulder.
Oh, the fear, in which he filled me.
Yet, he never beat me up or killed me.

My Bf Shelley Moved Away Child's View

My best friend Moved Away

Shelley Sjolseth moved away
My best friend with eyes blue gray
Had a crazy basement house
Sneaked as quiet as a mouse
Shelley played the games I like
Hiked and had a shiny bike
Shelley, Shelley, miss you so
Where in this big world did you go?

Grandma's House

Where do you go,
When you can’t eat candy?
Where every kid goes,
Because it’s so handy.
It is not very far,
Plus the door is always open.
With a full cookie jar,
At least I am a hopin’.
Here the food is always free,
Nor do you have to be quiet as a mouse.
It is not a fort in a tree,
Indeed--it is Grandma's house!!

Noisey Kids

I have these little people,
always running around my house.
And even though there really smart,
they don't no the meaning of..
"Quiet as a mouse"

They shout and scream,
and always fight.
And no I'm not joking,
it's from morning till night.

They answer back, and make so much mess,
but who cares their "My Kids"
I would'nt love them any less.

Who Created Sound

I get the evolution theory
I am not impressed
It speaks (or said) nothing about sound
Without it nothing would be around

All planets in space are as quiet as a mouse
Asteroids have hit them many times
Still no sound
So who created sound?

Or did it just create itself?

Genesis Chapter 1
Verse 3
And God said,

John 1: 1
In the beginning was the word

Moving Nowhere

I sit here now by candlelight
Still thinkin of poems to write
No more electric in the house
Everythings as quiet as a mouse
It's getting light morning is here
I just wish someone was near
Just someone to talk to for a while
If i could i'd walk a mile
Or even a few i could do
I'm not sure i wish i knew
But i cant i'm stuck inside this house
Being as quiet as a mouse

a penny saved is a penny earned
adding insult to injury, her love was spurned
afraid of his own shadow and against all odds
airing his dirty laundry happened to both Todds
the all mighty dollar earned by a chip off the old block
all talk no action and an axe to grind, said Mrs. McLock
barking up the wrong tree was a little dog too
quiet as a mouse was my mean Aunt Louise Sue.

It's How the Story Started

It's how the story started

The house that was not my house -
I feel I must be quiet as a mouse,
Why do I not feel a happy gaze,
I feel I am winding through a maze.
Every time I wipe my feet at that door,
After walking constant mud on the floor!
 It's how the story started,
Last time we left and parted.
Now I'm back and I will try,
And not keep asking 'Why oh why.

Premium Member The Preacher's Kids

We were preacher’s kids in a little Georgia town,
And knew more Bible verses than anyone around.
It was hell, fire, and brimstone three times a week,
Sitting on the pew trying not to make a peep.

If we chatted in church Dad would surely frown,
And point his finger to silence us down.
Hoping he would forget when we got back to the house,
The rest of the service we were as quiet as a mouse!

Home?

The meaning of home
Isn't a house
Locked in a dome
Quiet as a mouse

For they say,
"Love isn't love unless it's right"
Every day
Every night

Home for me
Is following my heart
But I can't see
Where to start

Even if
It's running through my veins
I feel stiff
Feel that pain

It must be running through my veins
Oh the pain
Never gain
But home just isn't home without you

Hackneyed

She’s as pretty as a picture
And as quiet as a mouse.
He’s as blind as a bat
And as fat as a house.

She’s as stubborn as a mule
And as sly as a fox.
He’s as wise as an owl
And as strong as an ox.

She’s as skinny as a toothpick
And as slow as a snail.
He’s as sharp as a tack
And as large as a whale.

I could keep this up forever
But you know what they say:
Nothing ruins someone’s writing
Like an overused cliché!

Winter

Winter is here
With all the lights and cheer
The snow on the ground
That keeps coming around
The cold wind blows
As we grab our coats and go
Christmas trees in windows
As if like a spindle
Snowmans made in yards
As if to guard
Children sledding
As they are heading
Santa comes to our houses
And is quiet as a mouse
Icicles are hanging down
Which some fall on the ground
Winter is here I say
As each cold and passing day

House Robbery

I see you left your house
With the door unlocked
So I'll be as quiet as a mouse
And let myself in

I'll search through
Keeping an eye out expensive things
Oh! A tv, laptop, phone- oh thank you
I'll take this and leave

Oh wait
I should check for more
What a great estate
I have an idea

For next time, I'll leave a window unlocked
I'll keep watch
Make sure it doesn't get blocked
And I'll be back again

Maybe tonight

Premium Member Bonnie

Bonnie and Clyde,
Pick a side,
Well, I know a better Bonnie, my friend,
Shes like a whole another trend,
Quiet as a mouse,
But evil as a haunted house,
Not really but her humors good,
Tough as wood,
But as soft as a marshmallow,
I have never heard her bellow,
I would just like to say, she's amazing,
And so, Kind,
She often forgets things.
So, she's not the one to remind,
But overall, she's the best,
And will pass any test.

Chocolate Calling

Listen, girls, it's time to stop stalling,
Can you hear? It's chocolate calling,
It's midnight, not even morning,
Listen, it's chocolate calling,
Creep through the house,
Quiet as a mouse,
You've bought a box for your mother,
Well, you can buy her another,
Shhh, don't tell anyone,
Unwrap chocolate number one,
Eat me, please!
So what for fat hips and knees,
Do you hear? Time to stop stalling,
Listen, girls, it chocolate calling.....

Dollhouse

They see you and they want you
They take you and then play with you
They move you and they use you
Then they get bored and leave you

They lie about you, they tell stories
They play the victim and have no worries
You’re the bad guy, cause you fought back
They break you and turn your soul black

In the end you’re broken and alone
Cause they already have a home
You turn back and keep quiet as a mouse
Just you ALONE in your empty dollhouse

Whispers of Your Soul

Sitting staring at the wall,
I wonder if I deserve it all.
Loud voices fill the house,
but I sit there as quiet as a mouse.
My heart whispers to keep going,
but my minds thoughts just keep flowing.
The power of silence will have you thinking,
and your heart will begin sinking.
But somehow you know you're worth it,
the silence reassures you of your wit.
The world is screaming and yelling loud and clear,
but my soul is telling me not to fear.

A Noisy House

A noisy House

Banging, clanging
screaming, squealing
babies crying

Mothers shouting
Keep quiet!

Dancing, singing
jumping, thumping
grannies munching

Mothers shouting
keep quiet!

Chatting, laughing
clapping, slapping
children scratching

Mothers shouting
keep quiet!...........

I sit here
in this noisy house
in a far corner
as quiet as a mouse

With pencil and book
and Ipod in ears
writing my poems
where nobody cares.
