Tossed At Sea
Seamen of HMS Dribble
Take Sundays off just to quibble
They all enjoy
The Cabin boy
But which of them gets "First Nibble"?...

Premium Member Bright Words
I think I'll write a silly dribble
Which you can read and maybe quibble
Pens of color write
Words on paper bright
Could be considered brilliant scribble...

Politicians
If they refuse to step up
to do what needs to be done
we'll find a place for them
out under the sun.

If they continue to quibble
and won't lend a hand
we'll leave all their bones
to bleach white the sand....

Command
COMMAND

What I say, you treat as a real order
Not a suggestion nor a request
No delaying nor any quibble
A task that one must obey
Not a choice, but duty
Complete it in time
I’ll be watching
Your response
So start
Now!...

Kill Bill
Beware
Her stare,

Her look
Like hook,

Behold
Ice cold!

Her sneer
Dire fear,

Her smile
Beguile.

You Scum,
She come...

Ready
Steady,

Wiggle
Quibble--

What may
Today,

Come JAN
Kill Dan!

Top Cat Officer Dibble
Officer Dibble
    Always will quibble
    Whatever Top Cat does.
But it's Top Cat who gets the buzz.

    Top Cat
    Whose constant backchat
    Makes him look cool.
While Dibble ends up like a fool.

Premium Member Grasshopper's Plight
Magnified, I would seem a fierce surprise
When looking through the bulbous glass
Not a monster to behold and fear
Your frowning glare upon the grass
I would prefer to disappear
Yet gentle is my nature,
Content to slip into my world of green
Melting into the garden scene
Out on a leaf to nibble, not quibble
And munch my lunch...

Writing a Step Down Poem
Do you write too early or too late?
It's hard to say at this late date.

Especially when specifics are the only rule,
Writing like this makes me the tool.

I wrote it early and then,
Edited the text...who knows when.

Now I'm in the quibble,
Two more lines to scribble.

Only four words now,
I've done it...somehow!

Premium Member On the Edge of Dawn
Soft rays of morning's first light broke
through jagged edges of sleeping dawn
and glowed til becoming a golden yolk

From within my cracked and fragile shell
I moaned in lazy attempt to stifle a yawn
not able to convince the rising to quell

I could not bargain with the sun to tarry
Although I praised with words to fawn
With his strength I'll not quibble or parry

Summer began in a small country home; forest's shadow and fields a dog can roam. A kiss of radiant warmth lay this day, off wild running and chasing in gay play. Like other children we trifling quibble, over childish senseless art we scribble. QUIBBLE over who's going to be first, QUIBBLE who's acting like the very worst. Though harmless quibble with one another before twilight falls, still love each other.
