Grasshopper's Plight

Magnified, I would seem a fierce surprise When looking through the bulbous glass Not a monster to behold and fear Your frowning glare upon the grass I would prefer to disappear Yet gentle is my nature, Content to slip into my world of green Melting into the garden scene Out on a leaf to nibble, not quibble And munch my lunch

Very interesting Carrie. I don't think of grasshoppers as gentle however. Enmasse they can eat everything in sight, including your house. Good poem and you're right . One little guy is harmless. Thanks for commenting on my poetry. You are always so kind. Love, Joyce

Intresting write. Hadn't ever looked at it from a grasshopper's point of view. Very creative and so well written. Made me smile! Smiles from Lolita~ thanks for taking time to read and comment on my writing as well.
