Fruit loops emerge
from a neon psychedelic sea
of crumbly waves

Picture #7
Colom Lune
A peacock who is grounded as he flies,
will freely psychedelicize.
Take notice as you stare.
Slowly become aware.
His tail is a hundred eyes.
Inkblots of distress wane as psychedelic stars burst into fireworks

Bring Color Back Into My World
Contest of Kim Rodrigues
psychedelic frogs wandering in and out of my mind
taking my blue eyes away from adult sights
I thank you for distracting me
as I taste another of Mommy’s gummies
Psychedelic scenery
Elicit blithe resolutions

Her stemless flower hovering in space.
His trippy peace-love sycophantic words.
Her psychedelic petals frown in vase.
She-astronaut claims hippieness — cuts cord.

12 disciples,
circle uncycled,
positionary...
uncirculated,
recycled:
We are the chosen ones
around the mountain of steel
and diamond, collecting bones
and ore. Can you feel us?

Psychedelic streams, winding
threads of emotion, chasing dreams
towards their own rainbow;
a cacophony of thoughts;
splashes of the soul,
on a canvas.
If you want to give me a car
make it out of chrome
give it silver spinners
with psychedelic trims
Christmas lights on the floor boards
and Tinkerbell floor mats
A fire truck siren would be perfect
Thank you in advance.
Lady in repose
drifting to horizons
pink and psychedelic
where dream dimensions
uncoil like ribbons
vibrant rainbow iridescence
circling moon spotlight
hidden fairy places
angel spun filigree
festooning domed citadels
of fantasy tales.
After a long time today
Blue throated bird I saw
Cuddling psychedelic sunlight
Dating for the first time this year
Embellishing the boughs with amber moments

Cool, groovy, hip
No bummers here
Just a psychedelic love explosion
A total gas
We had a blast
The chicks were far out
So many foxes
The babes were alright
The whole scene was out of sight!
A good trip all told
This poem is circa the 1960's
A young tennis brat from Indiana
Dressed in a psychedelic bandana
When he put it on
It glowed bright neon
Lit up the court from here to Montana
Inspired by Kevin Shaw's
State Limerick Poetry Contest
But not a contest entry

What the flip was CeeLo Green
Doing on the X Factor looking keen?
In a dress of yellow and pink flowers
With flaccid, psychedelic powers?
I felt as if I was back in the 60s,
Drifting high with the hippies,
I was sent to planet Zigzag,
In need of a sedating jag.
My name is experimental LSD,
and I'm on a psychedelic spree
inside a spider's tiny brain,
operating him like a wrecking crane.
All eight legs have their own lever,
I pull this one, that one, or whichever.
Dig these groovy spinnerets -
consciousness expanding jets.
bride introduced her fretful groom
psychedelic séance shook the room
spirits arrived in tens and twos
influence of drugs or maybe booze?
husband came around quite fast
recognizing good friend from his past
ghosts are now his go-to-friends
broken hearts fixed, he makes amends

Strumming guitar necks
In a dyslexic manner
While on lsd
Mind turning pages
Psychedelic music sheets
Colorful notes dance
Life wind cries Jimi
Living in a purple haze
Rainbow rhythm sleeps

I long to hear that song again
Like it was when I first heard it
The pleasure of its newness
As it played out to the end
Close your eyes and see the lights
Psychedelic in pulsating colours
As you rocked the sound and look
Dig it and hear it as your sound.

What if we all danced on top of the expensive cars
In the super market parking lot?
What if we all sang “Old Dan Tucker” loudly
in crowded elevators with suit people?
What if we rode psychedelic skateboards down dead man’s hill?
Would they think we were crazy or would they be jealous?
Rum and L.S.D
conjure up a train tunnel,
psychedelic blues and reds,
two bright orbs left and right,
no sound just an eerie silence.

Psychedelic bedroom reminds me of my hippie days
I revel in the glow of the black light; it was so chic then
Not super popular now, but exciting to this old hippie
Reminds me of my youth, seventies, hip hugger bellbottoms
How can you sleep in here? Asks other adults.
How could you not? I reply.
She came riding in on a goat
Wearing pinwheel glasses
With three lenses
One for her third eye
Is it the LSD?
Or is she real?
I watched her march around
Calling out orders, barking like an inflamed wolfhound
She was all colorful, psychedelic
I found myself laughing
Wait!
The police!
What?
