Nineteen Sixty Nine

Psychedelic
Good times
Woodstock
Peace love

Long hair
Bell bottom
Jeans and beads
Guitars strumming

Hippies
Around a campfire
Singing
Free style

How the lovin’ was easy

An era of make love not war - and to think that all this was a protest in support of Americans withdrawing from Vietnam - Flower Power. So cool Line, loved this poem. Poetry hugs, Jennifer.

Line, this was my summer of love. Hitched a ride to S. F. with an uncle. Stayed there about 6 weeks then moved on to LA area where I've lived for some 50 years. Missed Woodstock but thought I was bold leaving family and friends behind for Calfornia. Your poem reminds me of my hippie days. Thanks for the memories and thanks for my placement in your Dandelion contest. I always enjoy your contests. Hugs, Jan
