Eye-catching gift I arranged
Welcoming vagabonds to my house
I longed to hear their journeys.
Eventually fear reached me, and
lousy rambling he flew to harsh streets
I proceeded to curse his being....

Love At Sight
I hear a gentle voice,
While my heart began to beat,
I proceeded through the soft, white, clouds,
For then we shall meet,
Our hearts started to unite ,
While we glared up at the sky,
Observing the stars constructing shapes,
Never longing to say good-bye....

Times a Changing
The times they sure are a changing

The clock struck 6 then
proceeded to 7

And on the stroke of midnight
come 1999 the year became 2000

And on my bithday i was no longer
47 but 48

The time's they sure are a changing

And so am i

Storms
Everyone fears winter's storms
proceeded by wrathful winds devastating a grave,
and as the squirrels run for shelter
another trees falls on isolated roads...
see them break in two missing a scary bear;
behind this window I fret and pray I will live.

T I M E
Time turns its wheel,
The pace exceeding comfort. Yet,
The world has proceeded
Complacent.
Time transitions with insistence
Between raging waterfall and, for a distance,
whispering river. Ever changing path and
Speed.
Time moves, impatient,
Its inhabitants – unaffected-
Even while questioning
Existence....

Premium Member Rabbit Stew
A little old lady named Rosie,
Loved to plant things like veggies and posies.
Her garden a sight, the whole yard a delight,
And butterflies played ring round the Rosie.

Now rabbits got into her garden,
And ate everything to yard's end.
Out the back door she flew to round up the crew,
And proceeded to make rabbit stew....

Peace
I proceed to be still,
My feelings evolve like rain,
Times may be hard,
But all I want I can't gain.
I see the wind through my eyes,
The vision was so clear,
For now I need a guardian,
One who will take away my fear.
I proceeded to feel anxious,
Those feelings began to leave,
My mouth opened slightly,
For now I can believe....

Premium Member She Blew It
I noticed she smoked, unhealthy, but sexy,
and every time our paths came to cross occasionally,
she would always give a warm inviting smile and hello to me.
Once I was admiring her from afar, sensually smoking that cigarette,

She wasn't sexy anymore. Sorry darling, you blew it....

Catching Breakfast
6 a.m. I watched a robin
As it tugged upon a worm.
When it saw me it was startled
So it dropped it, all a’squirm.

When it knew I posed no danger
It proceeded with its meal,
Thus affirming that the adage
‘Bout the early bird is real.

For a bird it seems that early
Is a goal we can confirm,
But the same does not apply
To that poor breakfast-eaten worm....

The high diver climbed the ladder over 100 feet high
and then proceeded to perform a very graceful swan dive.
Plummeting to the bottom quickly he plunged

Upon impact the high diver instantly died
because his girlfriend's jealous husband rung the sponge out bone dry.
The husband has been charged with homicide....

Beauty and the Feast
I watched a yellow butterfly
As it was slowly flitting
Among the garden's flowers
All the while that I was sitting.

It carefully proceeded
From the purples to the reds
While the blossoms, acquiescing,
Seemed to sigh and bow their heads.

Mother Nature is so thoughtful
Giving more than is her duty,
Filling flora with such nourishment
As well as all that beauty....
