Haiku: Listening To Mahler's 9th Symphony

#1
ground fog’s servant role
life’s earthly scent offered up
rain drops coalesce

#2
peace is oxymoron
evolution Nature’s plan
soul deepest meaning

#3
understanding flawed
promises are prismed light
God’s word must be felt

Soft Shade of Twilight

Honeyed amethyst is the soft shade of twilight as it smoothly melds with sunset's prismed hues Moonlight glints with the glow of a lustrous pearl Stars gleam as multifaceted as crosscut diamonds Celestial beauty reigns in the bejeweled night sky

Gloom Veiled My Heart

I wept until the bronzed edge of twilight
chased prismed light from pastel skies.
A shroud of gloom veiled my heart
as the gatekeeper touched my arm.

The Stones Watch

Splintered light adourns the grimaced sky
Below stone golems bow in reverance
Timeless relics reaching from earth driven binds
To touch the prismed light in flight
Silent stones that whisper
like children in the corn
Praising the light that died with time
and slowly cradles the chiselled tears
of natures bitter end

Prismed Skies

Each day at dusk, prismed skies unfold Pink threads are woven with rays of gold Sunset's glow is reflected in soft glimmers on waves rippling in serpentine shimmers Earth is a painting in roseate pastel light brushed at twilight, among clouds in flight December 7, 2021 Bite Size Poem No29 Contest Sponsored by Line Gauthier

Bright Holidays

Please, bright holidays - summon irresistible cheer
that dancing souls can celebrate with free hearts.

Let hallow'd observances pass with seasonal soundtracks, tinsel-prismed
cascades of multicolored lights and evergreen scents.

Too often these days, our joys seem hostage held
by some fearsome heaviness, like that of a guilty thing.

Give wholesome nights back their power to charm,
enjoy festive feelings, and pass those, as gifts, on to others.

Light Prismed Attic

Open aired and pastel pillared, vaulting the ceiling;
This bye to Paradise; & illuminating vision:)
Stand in-violate, in golden tones, in orange hues
in glowing aqua, do you colour my view,
The mark of Heavens promise, on earth:)
Expanding in an instant; you beam of Gods mirth.
A schism In prism; here ever to bloom,
Fresh from the Masters hand on the loom.!

Color

Everyone sees color differently

some color-blind

yet they know the texture and
warmth of shades, bland
grays more a product of heart
and not one’s eyes –

not all black and white, coldly set,

appealing only a stark contrast

some light embracing its
fine-line shadows
as midnights with stars and
moon in warmth of touch –

meet me in the polychromatic
moment, where all spectrum
shards of color im-prismed
are released, forever to unveil a
harmony unbreached….
