Whilst Bruno Mars ascends new stars
Elvis Presley haunts old boudoirs
Second to none
They both have fun
Just strumming their gutsy guitars.
When Elvis looked like a balloon
It seemed he would pop very soon
He took many pills
To conquer his ills
But the "cure" extinguished his croon
When Elvis Presley dreamed on high
All he wanted to do was fly
Like Priscilla's blue moon
He ballooned with each tune
And it sure made his mama cry!
Elvis Presley, the King
A voice like velvet, he did bring
With gyrating moves, dads cried he’s no saint
But those gyrations made the girls scream and faint!
ELVIS
Elvis was King;
Rock 'n Roll made all things swing,
And Jiving was the 'thing'
dropping a shilling
.. in the snug juke box
Presley,then
so unorthodox.
Take me to the deep south
Show me the blues
Muddy Waters, BB King, Billie Holliday
Let me hear spirituals
Lena Horne, Elvis Presley, Bessie Smith
Ray Charles, please sing!
Jukebox- that era passed.
Joyous time to be shared;
Just records that made us
Jump and swing to music!
Jailhouse Rock by Presley;
Jingle Bell Rock by Helms.
Jamming with happy feet!
Elvis Presley high on drugs
with gyrating hips and shrugs
sang many a great song
chubby cheeks, sideburns long
ere guitar strings pulled all plugs.

You were born with me
there were two of us
we were side by side
once upon a time
wished on a star
Both now with mom
she holds you tight
gives you a kiss
every night
Reflections
your spirits
together
brothers
again
Twins

Elvis Aaron Presley
So different from John Wesley
When he got on stage
A whole lot of shaking earned his wage
Elvis Presley was on stage with his hips swinging
His movements kept women from hearing his singing
He could make so much money without moving his lips
All he had to do was go on stage and gyrate those hips

Mister Elvis Presley
Sang his songs expressively
In Aloha From Hawaii,
He sang them just for me, aieee!
I was 15 when he sang just for me
Straight from Hawaii via TV,
My heart skipped a beat,
I jumped from my seat,
His music had changed my reality.
Elvis has now left the building,
Gone is the music and gilding;
He died much too young,
How many songs left unsung?
Often greatness comes from humble roots
Where none-expected talents lay hidden
Beneath veneers of undeveloped yearning,
Hiding like gemstones in hard rough slate
Until the master discovers facets that glisten.

Have you ever heard the Civil War song “Aura Lee”?
You may find the tune has some familiarity.
Remember “Love Me Tender” by the late Elvis Presley?
“Aura Lee” has the exact same melody.
Somebody in modern times had the lyrics changed.
The words to the song became rearranged.
Never known for proper grammar was the late Mr. Presley.
In good English, he should have been singing “Love Me Tenderly”.
it was therefore disappointing

is the definition of rock and roll
keep your expectations low going into the cinema
keep them low on the film
keep them low on the audience
for there can be no greater relief
leaving the theatre
when you say to a friend,
'thank christ everyone behaved.'
In Cesar’s day, 2,065 years ago,
life expectancy was 30 years.
By 1840, life expectancy was 35 years.
That’s a 5 year improvement in 2000 years.
During those years, people had clean water,
zero air pollution and all natural food.
Life expectancy today is 79 years.
Science matters, people.
Don’t let stupid people’s ‘opinions’ replace it.

A song for this:
A Little Less Conversation (JXL Radio Edit Remix) by Elvis Presley & JXL
I Remembered Elvis
I was just----------thinking.
How many teen ager girls wanted Elvis?
How many hopes and dreams
were shattered then,
When
when he married the Pricilla.
I remembered Elvis?
Gyro on the stage.
Elvis the Pelvis they were calling him.
Most of us just tried to walk to hike to live.
Even then, even when ;
even I could knoe it then:
I was just-------thinking.
How many young women wanted Presley to begin.
DID ewe?Lambe~
The legendary teen idol Elvis Aaron Presley
was criticized for his gyrations, expressly.
And yet, this shooting star went supernova,
morphing into a teenage Casanova.
When this Memphis boy began to croon
he'd wildly grind his hips to the tune;
and flashing his ice-blue eyes,
he'd generate tears and sighs;
while making the young girls scream and swoon.
Born blond, he dyed his hair black
and the King never went back.
He seemed to suffer an itch,
the way he would twist and twitch.
