G'day Rico ... I guess with such fame, Elvis lost touch with reality and pills helped to ease his pain, so your limerick reminds us all that there are consequences - thanks again Rico - Lindsay

This is very well-written, Rico. The last several years of his life were very hard, tragic. He surely was talented! Janice

So tragic how many performers succumb to drugs - all the public pressure must take a toll -

Cash corrupts, so anyone with cash can anticipate drug lords cashing in! Aloha! Rico

When Elvis died, the program director at our radio station played his songs on air for a week. He certainly had some beautiful love songs, but succumbed to pills. A thought-provoking limerick, Rico. Enjoyed!

My late wife was a Presley fan, and my rendition of his, "How I love to feel her organs in the chapel in the moonlight!" would drive her up the wall! Aloha1 Rico
