A friend gave a Xmas potluck,
I couldn't boil just water.
Took two pies for a buck.
Mother said I'm not her daughter!

Wildcards
When writing the words,
are they thought or then felt
Which to come first,
cards different once dealt

But sometimes together,
as in straights or a flush
They win back the reader
—with more than potluck

A Serving of Joy
A Potluck of People can be hard to Digest or assimilate

 Different customs Different taste

Only One dish can truly Satisfy the human race

A Serving of Joy placed on the table by Love on Christmas Day...

Premium Member Why Cletus O'Toole Religiously Attends Church
Most folks attend church to worship and praise the Lord as a general rule,

But this is not necessarily the case for God-fearing Deacon Cletus O'Toole.

He religiously goes to church every Sunday to take a nap (such is his nerve!),

And partake of potluck suppers and to quaff the coffee and donuts they serve!...

The minute it touched my mouth,
I groaned in ecstasy.

Still warm from the oven,
delicate, sublime flavor,
ethereal tongue talk.

For the first time
I fully understood the term,

     melt in your mouth.

I told her. I said, "Mattie,
it's ambrosia from heaven."

Every potluck dinner at church,
she brought it.

I never forgot her kindness,
or the wonderful taste
of Mattie Johnson's Chess pie....

You promised you would pick us up and waited.

Feeling we don't matter was stated.

Drinking was more important the pain is my reminder.

The priest handed you a glass.

Was supposed to be at mass.

It wasn't supposed to turn out this way.

You had gone to the paddock.

Mother had cooked potluck.

And sleeping you mumbled curses.

Those memories creep up on me.

I carry them in my briefcase.

Mr Clean doesn't work there....

Frameworks of Choice
Break apart all those facile screens
Organized overdrawing of institutional bleeding
Walks through maps and tourism
Pushing hour glasses beyond comprehension

At the ground level, animals are recurring
Human bounty participates at the nexus
As species consolidate their voices
Power and choice conglomerate each family network

Brother in arms bent apart
Relegates to the past where futures amass
The tiny behavioral netting with wet tongues crawling
Putative changes through into city potluck...
