Training of a Shopaholic

My mum thinks I'm so smart,
She puts me in the shopping cart,
I always point out what to buy,
Sometimes my mum gives me a sigh,
Good shopping is an art.

Advent Is a Time To Prepare

Advent is a time to Pre-prayer! :)
(Yes, I know I added letters there)
I did that to point out:
we should be more devout...
and about Jesus' Birthday --care!

Voices

Some people get lonely at college,
but I never really feel alone.
I have these critical parental voices
that always keep me company
and point out my mistakes.

My New Gps

in
twenty
twenty
they implanted
the first GPS
into a human brain
to point out the way

on the way
it
got confused
and burnt out
before
the warranty
was up

Poets Search

As poets make their final search
for the lost syllables of fall
and wet branches of the stately birch
point out foliage is out of style
youngsters dream of holidays and smile.

Smile Brigade

On Dad’s 75th, instead of singing,
we recited cadence.
On the video from 9 years prior,
Dad points out Mom’s huge smile
and I point out his.
I see his family line all likewise grinning,
joining in the smile brigade
from heaven’s open window.

show me a zero carbon footprint ~ and i'll point out its shoeless slave

but first we'll need a generator ~ to shed light on his pitch black cave

Affirmation

Give me a yes
Don’t make me guess
Tell me okay
Point out the way
Say you agree
Tell me you see
Set my soul free
Affirm me
I watch your eyes
Tell me no lies
Say you’re for real
You know how I feel
Say you’re my friend
And in the end
Quick in a flash
Just wink

Just Like Everyone Else

Hold your tongue
Pretend this is for the best,
You're so young,
So many to impress.

Every move you make
The Watchers eye you
They'll point out your every mistake
It's hard being fake.

Call it what you want,
But you're a deceiver,
just like everyone else.

A Chance Meeting

If by chance you ever meet
A goldfish strolling down the street,
Please point out that he has roamed
Far from the bowl in which he’s homed.
Call his owner for collection.
Failing this then give direction
To the nearest lake or pond,
Or better still, the sea beyond.

Knight In Shining Armor

You wanted
a knight in shining armor
that I could never be
but you were too shortsighted
to realize that I knew the path
to your liberation

and you turned a blind eye
when I tried
to point out the road home
ignored my every whisper
as the clues
went blindly unexamined

Insecure Delivery Man

the dogs are barking violently
at an intruder I cannot see
a delivery man comes into sight
fearing he might become their next bite

They are penned, I point out to him
He does not look confident, his body thin
He throws the package and runs off
I roll my eyes and the dogs both scoff

Contemplating An Endless While

Contemplating an endless while
I eyed my screen, prepared to smile
But what I saw filled me with dread
It made me think I was brain-dead

Screen was empty as my cupboard's bare
At which point, out fell my hair
But then I thought, 'This could be good'
~ So I went back to sawing wood

The Knowing

The knowing

They never knew a thing
They do not want to know.
It´s easier that way
Ignorance leads to Jerusalem.
Slow holocaust
The Palestinians know it
You don´t want to know
It is easier that way.
You will never know
To point out the obvious
Is against the law
To talk about Israel´s
Criminality.

The Game

Most teenagers love, "Spin the Bottle"
Especially when girls go glottal
But as women age
They all reach a stage
Where all that is shaking is wattle . . . . .

When a teenage girl spins the bottle
It should point out the hottest throttle
But as men age
They reach a stage
Where the only movement is wattle . . . .

Point Out Powers of P

The power of persistence,
ponders on perfection,
poverty pertains to people,
with partial privileges,
possessing parallel postures,
pursuing a proper position,
practicing profitable participations,
putting this potently poetically,
pursuing to press on powerfully,
penalty and punishment preoccupy
prisoners of pain.

Short-Lived Love

You think you’re the best
Your mind is at rest
You love with trust and zest
Believing that deep down he feels the same.

But now I’m afraid
His love could abate
It looks like it's too late
Already in his dreams he calls her name.

[I have to point out that this is not the usual tailed rhyme poem,
  it's my own personal layout.]

If I had a Pet Shark

If I had a pet shark
I would name him Pete
He and I would swim together in a coral reef
I would point out game, and he would laugh

I would teach Pete how to speak American
I would teach him how to read
so that he could read my little hit list
I would point out who he should eat

I would skip cursive though
No one uses that any more

The black duck

If only she knew what it was or where it lay
, The stain in her being, body, and soul.
A mark that all seem to notice or even point out,
She walked burdened with the shame of flaws,
And an incompleteness she felt within.
Shame, innate or imposed, she could not discern,
Not knowing what to cover or change,
She chose to hide herself entirely.

Joyful New Year

May this New Year bring joy to each and everyone
May your gifted pens overflow with some poetry to open minds
To shine light in darkness and point out wrongs and injustice
May there be laughter to lighten our time here on earth
And lenghten our lives with just a little mirth
God bless each and everyone and your families

I am to be gone most of the day!

Mr Christian

You see the sin in everyone,
The darkness and decay,
Deceit, skullduggery and lies,
Point out their wrongful ways.

The dirt upon their window panes,
The filth around their doorsteps,
You see each one for what they are,
And know the secrets kept,

Hidden in the darkness,
Of their dirty little minds.
You see their weaknesses and faults,
But to your own you're blind.

sixties cats

sleek and sneaky, stealthy too wherever they go
sixties cats crawl around sixties beatnik row
their eyes are squinted, they know where it is at
we are careful not to point out their ears are flat

they have a look only seen back in the day
they are always black, never orange, tan or gray
the sixties cats sit in sixties chairs, streamlined and fine
modern we thought back in those olden times

Grounded

We tend to ask more than we are capable of..
Often we think more than we could put effort into
We careless just to point out what we’d like to
We crosses anyone to justify our truth
However we stand, lets all stand with pride, dignity & integrity

No matter who watched, seen and heard us
Lets all stand firmly on the ground where we always belong..

Humble, truthful & human..
