The black duck

If only she knew what it was or where it lay , The stain in her being, body, and soul. A mark that all seem to notice or even point out, She walked burdened with the shame of flaws, And an incompleteness she felt within. Shame, innate or imposed, she could not discern, Not knowing what to cover or change, She chose to hide herself entirely.
