Mind not if mind plays

Mind is a child, stubborn, mulish,
Maybe bullish, but not foolish.
As some from wisdom school
Say, let your mind play fool,
Cheer it up, never admonish.

gone astray in a world of her own
she earnestly embraces her whims

Sunlight Plays

Ever the same
and ever changing.
Turn your face to me.
Show me things
i can't replace,
show me things
i cannot see.

Frantic wishing
mind of passion,
show me sacred ways.
Some things
don't go out of fashion
like the way the
sunlight plays.

On his trumpet
Willie happily plays jazz every day
his canvases dance and applaud
he adores the French quarter
who would go to New Orleans his kin had taunted him.

Premium Member The Music Plays

The music plays
Soothing sound fills the air
The keyboard erases worries
As the sun makes its way through the clouds
The rays dance to the melody
Flickering through the green leaves
A sun dance is in the making
As the music plays

penning soul’s musings each morn
spontaneously arising from within
rhythm in heart is magically born
causing poetry in mind to spin

there then thus is no one here
all that is, is but universal mind
wherefrom we see forms appear
with heart’s core instincts aligned

Sometimes, God Plays Charades

Sometimes, God plays Charades
And expects me to understand,
And I don’t.

But sometimes,
I get it!

(Or, do I?)

Is it pride that tells me that I understand?
Sometimes, I know I do…
But that’s not always!

Who gets it all the time, I wonder?
Probably a Saint!

Ah, well!

The Part Air Plays After the Fact

air does not reply
air does not supply
air does not react
air states not one fact
what air does actually do
is force me to get a clue
next time God Sprinkles me with that Rare Specialty
i will treat such a Blessing as a Rare Gem and not allow that icy fear to successfully wrestle me.....

Empathy plays my poet’s heart
Most of my doubts concealed artfully
Worries play such a minor part,
As my poems are created heart-fully.
