Sometimes, God Plays Charades

Sometimes, God plays Charades
And expects me to understand,
And I don’t.

But sometimes,
I get it!

(Or, do I?)

Is it pride that tells me that I understand?
Sometimes, I know I do…
But that’s not always!

Who gets it all the time, I wonder?
Probably a Saint!

Ah, well!

I don’t think that anyone gets it all the time. I’m thankful for the occasional glimpse.

So am I, thankful for the occasional glimpse. God is Joy, and Grace and Mystery all folded into a fire enfolding itself, and which no-one can see! Keep well! Thanks for reading!

Yes, the mysterious ways of God! Like the old song says, "we'll understand it better by and by." Perhaps because in a sense we are at war and no soldier is given all the details of the battle plan?

That's true! We are not given all the details, or we might retreat in fear!
