Thoughts recycled, jumbled into plastic
Perhaps a bench, sturdy for public use,
That's all the old lady shared with me.
Form:
Battling plastic faces veiled
behind charcoal framed prisons—
I breathe your ardent soul to
life in this bland world.
Fun toys
Plastic truck keys
Ride-on toy push with feet
Tricycle, tractor, wagon, truck
Corvette
On the tall table
Resides a small Christmas tree
With a Santa hat
When his eyes open to show
The vacant stare of plastic
hillside
cold, white
snowing, running, sledding
ice, plastic, bone, blood,
thawing, melting, flowing
warm, red,
hospital
pampered
spilling wine
spilling tears
plastic sheets
still such a chill
in the foreground
voluptuous music
and fractured
Saved the World today
In the supermarket
All I had to do
Was bring my own plastic bag
No special powers required
On this occasion
Planet Earth blue notes
Death from sea to plastic sea
Recycle our lives
Poison penitents we drink
Mother Nature owns last call
A plastic card melts inside a plastic bin
honoring the architecture of our structure
the gold leaf house we must build, democracy.
My tree doesn't care
That her pot is plastic blue.
She likes fertile soil.
Paper or plastic...
Does the choice really matter?
Yes - Toilet Paper!
For "Paper or plastic" contest sponsored by Susan Burch.
Children splashing in a plastic pool,
Eating popsicles and staying cool.

For Andrea Dietrich's "Lovin' Summer couplet contest"
eating poetry with a
plastic fork
sophisticated
drinking breast milk
with a straw
wavered objects
seeds swell your spa-
cious womb
Form:
A long-winded breeze
carry a blue plastic bag
toward the sky.
I look
at strength
in sun's heat.
Of the warmest season
of the year.
Form:
“Hey, when is my turn?”
asks the horse.
“Hold your horses,”
says the plastic surgeon,
“while I give the duck
a quick nip and tuck.”
Whatever happened to the five-cent cigar
Hah! Found one!
Right next to the plastic pink flamingo
~ underneath my wet bar
Naïve minds can barely perceive
The tricks that reside up a sleeve
Surgery plastic
Achieves the fantastic
Deception men want to believe
pretty plastic doll as companion
life in it is by magic infused
for a while child plays with the object
delusion keeping her heart amused
something grabs my leg
plastic bag churned by the tide
ocean clings for life
Tides move in as one--
bowing upright azure tongues,
marching from the sun.
Pallets lick the shifting sand,
slowly move the plastic land.
plastic surgery
features are frozen in time
grimace locked in place

Three line poetry contest – Debbie Guzzi
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
damp yellow plastic
still curled in the hallway corner~
childhood's abandoned armor
With plastic chicks and eggs upon it,
She looked a beauty in her bonnet,
And so I wrote an Easter sonnet.
For Andrea’s Itty Bitty contest
Decoded fatal suicide
Of a plastic man
Stuck in a can
Copeasettic and domestic
Daily journal is hectic
Deliberate lie, now hide
Form:
Fake smiles under a plastic mask
Politicians are no one's friend
They're madmen's pawns who shirk the task
Forever making mice of men
