Beautiful pigskin passes,
You always wait for the touchdown;
Up on your feet with every run,
Energized! It's football season....

The Harvest Food.
Twin shades of a noble bird
simmer in copper
as I forego the pigskin
for soft, sleepy, sweet
cranberry burnished
succulent
meat!...

Pigskin Precept From Vincent.
"You must go fourth and one!" They all shout.
 while conventional wisdom they flout
 Yet Lombardi once said:
"Never waver, instead,
put the three on the board and get out."...

Friends
Get together, chat around,
Hit the mall or walk the town.
Play some games, toss the pigskin,
Find out how close you've really been.
Always tell the truth, never lie,
Keep your cool when you say good-bye.
See them always in the hall,
There for them when they fall.
When you have them keep them close,
For you never know when you need them most....

Just like football, I am strategically played If you make a pass, you may stir my interest But a tackle is sure to incite my defense Smooth players with golden words Linemen who carry emotion, not pigskin These are the ones who score Touching only my heart as they cross the goal line

Ruckus Me Ruckus
my name is the ruckus and i am sure
to bruise and clot all hemoglobin,

turn bright to dark red, metal to rust,
rain and mud in a season,

i'll reckon to smash a oblong pigskin through
some lines and create a british rumpus,
a proper ructioning, ruckus.

then maybe i'll spit some dark blood out the
side of old an black and white photograph.
cause i am the original ruckus.. ruckus.....

The Good Old Boy
Men who like men join a gentleman's club
Hen-pecked husbands play rub-a-dub-dub
Men who like food go straight to the grub
So all the rest of us head for the pub

All Blacks enjoy squeezing pigskin
Yanks love their beer, the British their gin
The ladies prefer champagne Micky Finn
Sipped under a table at Peckers Inn

The morning after should never exist
But good times are rare and not to be missed
I seem to recall a kiss and a tryst
But all said and done, DAMN! Was I pissed!...
