Oink You Ashamed?
The sow looked at the piglets,
And grunted, with a big sigh,
"You kids are so darn messy!
This place looks like a pigsty."...

Meadow Trolls
Grassy ponds heave
under the tread
of moss piglets.
Kraken of microscopic
significance,
fill the forms of waterbears.
Tardigrade leviathans
plod a sodden sod,
toil assiduously
in the marshy haze
until Bur-marigold
grow out
of their dead giant heads....

Pink
asleep
on her side
feeding piglets
hungry at her breasts
motherly love in sty
on a bed of large hay,
amidst the farm hens,
in peace she feeds
gives life to
would be
ham

I spend too much time on Facebook,
watching the reels, those cute little vids.
Those sweet puppy faces sure are a hook,
as well as the kitties, the piglets, and kids.

I spend too much time on Facebook
it's where my relatives live,
since elder kin have crossed the brook
I've no more time to give....

Piglets and pigs are the picks of my pens
Practically perfect in ink
Parsimonious pip-squeaking partners
In pulchritudinous pink
Presumptuous porkers on pineapple pizzas
As porcupine people must think.

Bizarre
I danced with crabs that night
as scores of rabbits, piglets, chickens, dogs and cats
took to flight.

They waved at me,
all wearing little party hats,
you see.

I'm blue -
I thinking that's
true.

I danced with crabs that night,
all wearing little party hats.
True?

Two piglets out together, walking side by side,
Pressing snuggly wuggly, in wonder big eyed,
On the first stroll, brother and sister sunshine,
As blue birds prance and sing, in green pines.

Senses soon ravished, by the tales of the new,
Like a thrill of thick grass, under skies so blue,
Wandering in wonder, a time made for playing,
When orange sun's vivid, and is always staying....

Tardigrade In the Miniverse
Tardigrade in the Miniverse

Have you ever seen a Tardigrade?
I doubt it, they’re microscopically small.
Described as Moss Piglets or Water Bears,
Shortish and plump, certainly not tall.

They wouldn’t make very good pets,
But do look kind of cute under a ‘scope.
Mountains to Oceans, even in Space,
Extremist survivors able to cope.

Have you ever seen a Tardigrade?
An expedition on a miniscule crusade.

Our Choice
OUR CHOICE

this is the winter of our discontent
the four horsemen ride exultant
slaughter in churches
bombed nurseries
corrupt legislators
pollinators dying for lack of forage
all the sun’s blessings can not
disguise our disintegration

small acts of gentleness
saving horses
and tiny piglets from factory farms
a touch of hands
or smile on the phone
keep the choking smoke away
we are the lucky ones
who see these distant fires
signaling from hill to hill...

Fascinated With Piglets
Young and old with one glance,
A child of children with secrets,
A secret of yesterday’s romance,
 Produced from wild eyed couplets,

But given the slightest chance,
Would live without regrets,
Parented with a glance,
Fascinated with piglets,

How we love to dance,
Before we take our first steps,
Ants tickling in our pants,
Quickly before home to our pets,

We walk our baby trance,
Followed by puppets,
Then sleep on harmless plants,
Then wake with our forgets....

Suckling Pig
Suckling pigs

In the time of the Vikings
when a baby girl was born in the winter
put her naked on a shield
carried her into the woods where she
was eaten by wolves or froze to death.
Piglets are little darling suckling the sow
but not for long they are slaughtered and
roasted and sold for our table.
I ate suckling pig for lunch today the flesh
sweet and soft, the crust tender it was like
eating a baby (which it was) a cruel meal
I rather eat an old goat full of meaty flavours....
