Meadow Trolls
Grassy ponds heave
under the tread
of moss piglets.
Kraken of microscopic
significance,
fill the forms of waterbears.
Tardigrade leviathans
plod a sodden sod,
toil assiduously
in the marshy haze
until Bur-marigold
grow out
of their dead giant heads.
