Grand Pianos

place
which is North of normality
where
insanity's just a formality
I'm sat
listening to
Dmitri Shostakovich....

The Kiss
Insatiable is this fleeting moment
 Of sadness, fleeting like the
Rhythm of pianos in chaotic symphony
Fleeting
Fleeting
Like the kiss Goodbye....

Pianos Are Falling Apart
Pianos are falling apart, The ivory keys at the start; From there to the panel, It’s too much to handle; It’s breaking the strings of my heart.

Musical Souls
Words neat quiet mutinous never go silent. Words overflow the mind and turn insentient paper into realms of melodies. Black and white paper become pianos of unvoiced dreams that summon musical souls.

Second Dead Note
Like drums, guitars, keyboards and pianos
They run on a string of notes.
That reaches the limits of unlocking astonishments…
The sound sifts to obtain dead notes
And you are left in an incurable feeling,
Until its destruction.
By ignorance the notes will never leave your circle...

Premium Member Waking Up To Christmas Carols
Waking up to Christmas Carols,
The strings, pianos and trumpets play,
"Mary's born child", "It's Christmas time",
But where be the festive times?
In a world full of trouble, endless wars,
With the unknown forces of hell,
May this season, though not be the best,
Be the most blessed Christmas ever....

Warrior
Musical, analytical, religious, artistic.
Son of soldiers.
Lover of Nelly, ragtime pianos, and rhythm guitars.
Who reels angst, inspiration, and regrets.
Who fears retirement, isolation, and mediocrity.
Who would like to see Scandinavia, wealth, and grandchildren.

Premium Member how was it back in the day
How was it back in the day? The second-grader asked me.
I knew by now he thought I was at least a hundred and three.
We rode in Conestoga wagons for months, I told him. Threw pianos out too.
Ate whatever we could find, lots of raccoon and opossum stew.
Panned for gold when we got to Califor-eee-ay.
That's how it was
Back in the day....

Love of An Hour Lost
Consider her small tears upon a paper,
By unexpressed words of a lover;
Can you believe keys to a pianos dusk tune,
Were once hands of a man that held a thing of beauty?
In a thing that sparked in humans heart,
Swiftly flew away, not even to be heard again by fate.
An unheard bliss,
That knew not of a lovers kiss,
Now knows no love, and of no rest....

Not From Me
You want diamonds and pearls
Bags and shoes
Dogs and horses
Guitars and pianos

You want the whole world
You want those you can't have
You begged and you cried
I got them for you

Your wish is my command
That's my promise to you
Name material things you want
I'll surely give it to you

When it comes to love
Patience and sympathy?
Come, go and ask them
But not from me...

Girls Are Like Pianos In Deed and Simile
Girls are like pianos in deed and simile
When well tuned they giggle and smile
When annoyed they prop and empathize
When spoiled they demand and emphasize
He who can make a girl laugh can make her upright
Then they grow glassy and fabulously bright
They become wily strong and pretty useful
Being good they go to heaven very beautiful
The saddest thing a girl can is to dump down herself
And then be a soaked wet coat hanging on the shelf...

Premium Member Cartoon Pianos
Gravity falls on my head like cartoon pianos,
Drawn by he who drops,
Weights of ivory and ebony concertos,
Whose sound on me won't stop.

Heavier and heavier the pressure pushes,
Down along my spine,
As the falling instrument smears and smushes,
Me into a powder crushed so fine.

Like the alchemest whose legerdemain,
Uses a mortar and pestle to press,
Gravity's foot on me and remains,
Like a cartoon piano, a weight in excess....

Captivate
Lovely strings hum a lullaby,
As songs of heaven angels cry.

Sorrowful roar of a horns sound,
To a death-defying place bound.

Somber flows the pianos rifts,
Over a plain of flirtatious shifts.

None relates to this lasting weight.
Glorifying ears that will captivate.

Death
The wind blew as the tears of loved ones swept away,
so many words the mourners had to say,
in prayers and psalms they shouted and pray
for he who pass away,
though they were said to see him rest that day,
their last tribute they had to pay
drums, pianos and guitars they played
some hoping the man would stay,
but his time had come for him to lay

The great man laid to rest,
in words and songs they murmured
he was the best.

Premium Member No Parents
I got a freeway view
Behind the curtains
Pianos sound like broken glass
I can see the darkness from the bed
They keep banging away at the door
But I won't let them in
What I am is what I am
They want philosophy

Out by the freeway we drink beer
Under the halogen lights
Watching the trucks roll by
Wishing we could be Bobby McGee
Bandana and all
But we're just kids
Chucked in too deep
No place to sleep.

No parents.
No life.
Just in life too deep....

Blood Born Years
concubines of the highway march with wisdom hips hugging earth flowers of rain
strain of time rain in the window reborn of glass gods crumble to heaven
gold graffiti in stone sentinels on the edge of dreamless deserts
jack of hearts stallions spurs creaking doors saloons
pianos of war dribbling hitler stalin for the eyes
to blink mirages of salvation dying of thirst
echoing bibles the cloth blessed black
wings of conquest fanning screams
wrapped in blood born years...
