As the blue jays fly
Coming to the deck
Peanuts are thrown out
They gather to feed
Then bellies full fly
away.
The smell of peanuts,
The crack of the bat—HOME RUN!

I can be heard from a mile or two.
I'll screech and yell and tell the tale
If you leave peanuts on the rail.

Hear the vendors at the game
driving loyal fans insane
“Peanuts, popcorn, pretzels” they shout
With my friends and me, they all strike out
Leader of Peanuts gang Charlie Brown
Plays mean football without backing down
But when main crush Red Haired Gal arrives
He dreadfully runs...attacked by hives!
Broccoli crowns and carrot sticks
removed by dental floss and toothpicks
Popcorn, peanuts and caramel corn
leave my teeth like newborns'
A squirrel in a house he'd not been in before
Grabbed a mouthful of peanuts and ran for the door
He tripped on a mat
And then he fell flat

Leave the monkey at home,
The hot peanuts in the pot.
Give me a hurdy-gurdy
Or simply do not.
Leave the funnel cakes in the kitchen,
And the clowns on the shelf.
Give me a hurdy-gurdy
For my own little self.
My late-night snack
of peanuts and coffee
has got my family
thinking I'm daffy
But if they weren't such late-risers
they'd be appalled to see
me noshing red onions with mackerel
in a wet towel ~ Call me Admiral
To vaccinate or not?
What about diseases we forgot?
Like polio, T.B and Smallpox?
Kids can't take peanuts to school, or not,
But they can bring Measles and Whooping Cough.
What other diseases have we forgot?
To vaccinate or not?
I was raised alongside our dog.
My biggest dream was to be a cog
in the great Cogswell Cogs machine.
I'd work for peanuts or for bones,
but his cubicle nameplate read, "Spot Jones",
while I fought for scraps on streets so mean.
