George Washington Carver's statue turned red So embarrassed, Old George wished he were dead A mob stripped him down Laughs heard all around Where his nuts go, they found peanuts instead

Carver was, indeed, a genius... But he, like everyone else, has to be able to take a joke. We all do. (Lots of people can't these days, unfortunately. Sense of humor has been toppled, for the most part). Thanks, Janice. :) gw
