Tulips, Snowdrops
and Pansies,
sprout in
Spring.
Where burgundy pansies blossom
Amidst pearlescent violet-weeds,
Whirling medieval rose's ode,
In moon's lachrymose memories.

planted with the yellow ones

Mummies still intrigue me after all these centuries
What was life like before we turned into pansies
There are brighter days ahead
Not days we should dread
Coz from now on these mummies will be daddies
with charming cool elegance
blooms dazzle near falling leaves
pansies dahlias and mums
add to the color
cosmos and lilies blush bliss
sage and sedum, autumn fire
shine in the heyday of chill
as hued leaves go down
caught up in sunshine
sunflowers bob ten feet high
picking pink pansies
a blackbird nest found
with its black speckled blue eggs
red westerly sun
procession of hours
pink gold red purple and black
morning to midnight
Hubby was pottering in our garden when off the cuff,
He said I’ve looked everywhere but can't find fluff
Our cat and, must plant these pansies,
But I’ve lost my reading glasses,
Where to plant them, for now can’t hear you love.
Chipmunks tease us after we bloom
we're clueless as to why
the words of the birds and bees loom
we're small we don't deny
Grow low, we'll be out of the way
lowly we grew to be
thought our colors a bit risqué
butterflies shout, PANSIES!
humble pansies shine brightly
showy against grey winter sky
floppy faces nod cheerfully
holding heavy heads up high
velvet petals gently flutter
in a purple-white-blue whole
a rainbow hued celebration
thirst quenching for the soul

IN THE GARDEN
Plant
Flowers
Marigold
Splash of bright orange
Shades of red roses
A bed full of pansies
Don't forget rows of sweet peas
Hyacinth and daffodils too
Lilacs and Lilies fill up a space
Fragrance and beauty grow in my garden

Red roses looming
Overhead …bluebells swaying
In their beds…pansies
Bowing in this breeze...
Daffodils beside stone walls,
Tulips feeding bees.
Bright flowers blooming
Everywhere in this garden…
Alas! My stem’s dry.

Sweet snowdrop bells ring!
The violets are coming
Days are chanting spring.
Crimson camelias call
from dreams near the garden wall.
Gold sun fields await
rich tulips of tomorrow!
Lily's never late.
Then pansies' pink faces greet
blue roses across the street.
Purple faced pansies,
Majestic mountains, too,
Ripe, luscious grapes and plums,
Fragrant wisteria all in purple hues.
Color of kings and noblemen,
Only they could afford,
This rich, lavish color,
That I so adore.

Pansies purple on my head
Indigo thoughts strongly lead
Little kisses in the whimsical wind
Lavender perfume I bathe in
Onyx hair a kinky cloud
Where your fingers are buried now
This inspires a fuchsia fantasy
Amethyst fire you ignite in me
Love is a sea we be the boat
Kindness and desire keep us afloat
Red rambling roses.
Pink parading pansies
Yellow yawning ylang ylang
Scarlet shining strawberries
Gorgeous growing gardenias
Beautiful bending bracken
Lovely lilting lilies
Attractive ambling agapanthus
Carefully crafted
Meticulously maintained
Fastidiously fashioned
Delightful daydream

Bright butterflies love warm weather
They sometimes settle on beautiful blooms
Tall tulips, pretty pansies,
Lush lilacs, see vibrant visitors.
Little lambs drink mum’s milk
Then gambol gaily on green grass

pearl snowdrops left with the clouds
blue roses still sleep
buttercups, lilacs
green ivy resumes its creep
daffodil comebacks

flutter with peach peonies
pink sun marigolds

All beautiful chrysanthemums, dahlias,
enchanting flowers,
gorgeous hibiscus
in jocund kaleidoscope,
lovely marigolds, nice overwhelming pansies,
queenly roses, snowdrops, tulips,
unnoticed violet

A little old lady named Judy,
Hired a yard man 'cause he was a cutie.
Soon weeds they were thriving, plants barely surviving,
'Cause he didn't know pansies from patooties.
The yard man had to say Bye Bye,
'Cause he mixed fertilizer with soap lye.
He burned up the yard, she booted him hard,
And he ran out the gate on the fly.
Foggy mists engulfed the bright
When raindrops fell throughout the night
The lampposts glowed at midnights dark
When sweethearts kissed at Lover's Park
Moonbeams drenched their wet cheeks
When pansies blushed a face that speaks
Two hearts adrift, will the cold night adorn?
When their embrace freeze, will love be born?
