Hot, as the heat wave strikes
Emotions that churn restlessly
Dark and fervid as the night.
Would it have been different
Could laughter show its might
But laughters are an echo
Far off......
In the distant daylight.

Tossing, the nightmares take flight
The clock that ticks endlessly
Dreams become a blight.
Would I have been indifferent

Look at this darn marriage certificate,
A piece of paper that has sealed our fate,
If packed things can’t stay fresh,
So does mind, human flesh,
But still I see no such expiry date!
