Omicron Plight

had planned my next flight
     with great hindsight and foresight
               one damn oversight

When will this thing end!? Your well-written poem expresses the frustration so many feel right now, David. Janice

Thank you Janice, the realisation at the moment is one of regular mutations, trying to keep up with the virus, rather than outrunning it, Cheers David

I can't even suggest a cruise to the Greek Islands. Covid has taken its toll on that form of transportation, too. I always enjoy your thoughts, David.

Heya Lin, indeed Santorini would be a sight to behold, but a few weeks confined to a cabin does not have the same appeal, really is a wait and see approach, we can but hope, cheers David

David, I'm not sure how many more varieties we'll have in the future, but we've had enough of it.

Quite a few more letters in the Greek alphabet Lasaad, but hopefully we won’t need them all, it’s turning into an arms race with the virus, cheers again David

lots said in this tiny rhyming gem. love your comment that we're learning the Greek alphabet! Funny we skipped Xi ;)

It’s true PS, we never got to learn it in school, to be honest I’d rather not be learning it through virus mutations, maybe Xi sounds a little Chinese, oops nuff said, thank you so much for your visit, cheers David

This damn virus is past its sell by date now and everyone has had enough of it. We cancelled a holiday to Turkey last year when we found out the tests would cost as much as a holiday grrrr. Hope 2022 is better for all of us. Tom

Really is dragging on Tom, much longer than I thought it would especially being vaxxed and all, no miracle cure for this one on the horizon, I agree hopefully get away next year, cheers David

On the plus side Jenna I’m getting to know the Greek alphabet, but I’d much prefer a holiday to Greece, hopefully next year, cheers David
