Trees in leafy crowns
Of red orange yellow brown
Yet no birds bow down
For Brian Strand's Images of Fall contest
Sipping love's velvet
In orange yellow cracks..
Swept and red tale's tilting
Through times, bronzed quills
Poetry seasons fables lore; vieta.
Frost
touches
the treetops
each November,
turning the green leaves
orange, yellow
gold and red

Corduroy blue sky
Sprinkles magic dust
In the crystal air
Orange-yellow poppies
Refuse to close their eyes,
While the blue oxen plow
The olive green fields,
East of Eden
Listen to poem:
fall
is spring
in reverse
green leaves, bud bursts,
shrivel to brown, red,
tumble down and crumble
making pastel collage
dabbles of purple
orange, yellow

red-orange-yellow flowers framed
on sunny walls -
always-a-ballerina stretched out
toes pointed to make sure
that she’s still got it

The worn path was so perfect, the moment just right
Autumn's foliage tin forest's shy light
The gay colors, bright patterns of orange, yellow, red
Whispered passions exploding, fireworks overhead
focus on colors
terrain walks toward ocean streams
aqua spaces dream

she can hear orange, yellow and red
she sees melodies playing in the air
synesthesia is her name
she sees the world in new ways
her normal is our unusual
she can feel numbers
synesthesia is her game
Crepuscular rays of light,
Shining through
This canopy of clouds,
Near by, this road to Oz
Nothing but this field of
Poppies, sweet aromatic
Orange-yellow poppies,
As we drown in this
Spell of deep sleep
Red sun rising in the east
A ball of fire in the distance
Gleaming into orange-yellow sphere
Rising higher in the sky
Flashing into yellow heat through the day
Till soft moon forms and gorgeous sun hides her face
whirling rose petals
as they move to dream music
sunflower acclaim
dips in dahlias
orange yellow cream and red
spins past snapdragons
four o'clock fragrance
and flourishes near fuchsias
forget-me-not fame
Purple orange light painting fiery pregnant horizon
Blood-moon slides behind the red yellow sun
Enchanting sky births eclipse a black monsoon.

Fledglings
downy puffballs
of yellow-white feathers
sporting beaks of orange-yellow
discover the joy of liquid raindrops
cascading down from trees to leaves
mastering their art fast
precious offspring
fledglings
One day a rainbow, painted itself upon a still damp sky. It’s palette of pastel soft orange, yellow, pink, lavender and blue, slowly blended by its own brush; a magical work of art, exhibited in a heavenly museum.

It's a burst of spring
the Easter Parade of hues!
Lilies dance on streets
in creams and reds, deep green phase
dazed orange yellow bliss maze.
Heartbeat of rebirth
while the flaming redbird sings
amidst subtle scents.
Colorful celebration
Garden party location.
Just beyond the sunset
the day's end paints the red horizon
radiance of orange, yellow, and purple light
what a brilliant sight.
Scent of wood fires burning
a coyote's howl fills the air
the day's song is at an end
and night's lullaby now begins.

Crunch, crunch, crunch
Ah a young me
Hopping on leaves
My little nose red
But not quite ready for bed
On this beautiful fall eve
Orange, yellow, and red
Cover the trees “heads”
Years have come and gone
And though the seasons are long
Fall comes every year
And brings along its crunchy cheer
summer green has gone
autumn's colors begin to spark
orange, yellow, red they fall
a splash of leaves across brown ground
and i settle around a burnt orange fire
drinking hot chocolate while eating toasted marshmallows
admiring autumn's colors
