i miss you
on one side love is alive
and hope is—dead
*Inspired by the song "Sorry Her Lot" from Gilbert and Sullivan's HMS Pinafore*
Though we now part ways,
Our vines of our own divines’
Shall reach each other
On one of our coming days;
Our fond bond only begun.
a bunch
of roses
on one
thigh
a bud
in the
middle
where
do i see
eye to eye
where the
Cheshire Cat
sleeps
now i'm smiling
Form:
bird stands on one leg
wave almost knocks him over
wings provide escape
he works so hard
at being balanced
what will tip him over
I have an S-curved neck
I am a tropical bird who can stand on one foot
hot pink feathered wading bird
I eat shrimp plankton and algae
who am I?
coin of the gods
sun on one side
moon on the other
each has a purpose
neither calling in sick
making Zeus proud
sun and moon
sides of sky coin
The right to protest's sacrosanct
First Amendment Freedom to Assemble
Yet on one thing the Founders hadn't banked
~ Protestors may just dissemble
Its my plan to walk around on one shoe
That's what I'm gonna do
It will be fun hopping around
With one foot up and one down
Why don't you join me too
Walking down sidewalk
Watching cars pass by and by
Looks from side to side
In dismay looks down
Now hating every roadster
Death smears on one tire
Human are not meant to depend upon human strength.
Else by it they'll be rent.
Let them learn to lean on one,
Whom by no one is born.

This leading light
Light heading
Me on to my destiny
And as I ring
The bell
Get down
On one knee
Open the case
A silent prayer
For the rest of my life
Stoic and proud the eagle sat
On one of a thousand graves
Punctuation for the epitaphs
Of the proud, courageous and brave
Who died so our freedom was saved
harp
to the mouth at the mic
on one side
the awe-maker
on the other side
the awestruck
harp
to the ear at the air
invisibly gained
bleed the crowd
memory imagery
both boon and bane
as on one hand wisdom
and on the other, presumption
thus we release imagined knowing
and rest peacefully in the vibrant now
Bobby Aiken was proud to be Scotch.
As a pole-vaulter he was top-notch.
But on one faulty try
he became a soprano guy,
having been poled crack-on in the crotch.
I’ll write one
For the right one
For soon I shall be
Down on one knee
Tell her I love her
And a family be
So sultry
And outspoken
Please please
NY be with me
Hold on to your many stripes
Before you blow out your pipes
I can hear you loud and clear
Stop acting so cavalier
Cool off then ride on one of the bikes
on one gold-leafed limb
where shadows now sooner fall. . .
a forsaken nest

Limping Ron was limping on,
In-grown toe nails aren't much fun,
Two on one foot hard to bare
Doctor said they'll need much care,
When will his walking stick be gone?
Calypso was famous for her feminine wiles.
She detained Odysseus on one of her Isles.
He did not mind.
As she was so kind.
He was felled easily with one of her smiles.
oh, chemistry
why are you so cruel.
why are you so difficult.
I'm trying so hard here.
I gave up on one dream,
please don't crush my last remaining hope
for happiness.
On one side and other is bridge inbetween;
When painted will be such a pretty scene;
Loved each side,
And never denied;
One was a city and other a village green.

She can pluck on one lonely string,
or fill me with her orchestra,
when my heart plays her symphony.
