Roses aren't all red and violets all blue
the grass is green most of nature is too.

Fear
In any form
Is ugly
Just as death
In any form
Is undignified
And fear of death
In any form
Is both
Ugly and undignified
Each life
is a series
of exquisite moments-
beacons of beauty illume grey
shadows
Inspired by the imagis T E Hulme's observation
The oceans are deep and the mountains high
the sun is warm when seen in the noon sky.

*An observation at a writers’ group
For Susan’s senyru contest
re-post inspired by contest theme
Why so,
In life's pageant,
Some seek,yet come unstuck-
Whilst others from misfortune pluck
triumph.
I don't just write in feel.' I preffer it also to be real.' From
Observation of actions taken' allowing that some fancy is not forsaken'
The heavens smile bright
upon the pristine landscape...
God's tranquility.
For "Power in Observation" contest sponsored by John Freeman.
Many curse
many things because
don't observe them ... but
how to deny love
and the wind ...

Peaceful, quiet scene,
Surrounded by God's beauty.
Nature at it's best.
For Power In Observation Contest by John Freeman
I'm watching the red fire ants
Converging a synchronized dance
They take my dull mind
And then help remind
To look with more than just a glance
Sitting observing the Stars and Stripes
Gently wave from its high perch
Storm clouds are passing over
Will the storm pass today but come tomorrow

Birds that sing are doing so in praise of nature
truly great people are not proud of their stature.

A salad roll sits upon my plate,
All garden fresh and there to be ate;
I didn’t taste a bug
But saw half a slug...
My observation has come too late.
Knowledge rests upon
base from self observation
Conscience speaks own words
Blue skies bless green beings
Beauty holds eyes to ransom
Love Sugars the soul

For John Moses Freeman's Power of observation contest
“It would seem to me that good share of our politicians appear to have their mouths open so much that their brains disengage and their ears will no longer work”.
Form:
Observation>Instinct
But is slower than the other
It's a weakness and a power
A life of dreaming
Instead of scheming
In my mind
My thoughts: much too aligned
Form:
The pin oak and silver maple trees
In the woodland across the way
Shift like shutters in the breeze,
I love to sit and watch them sway.
written June 21, 2021
amidst the cold and ice and snow - is when next year's buds will grow.
From an observation that my apple tree buds form in December.
