Mushroom Tree

I saw a tree like a mushroom blooming
Producing awesome power
An infertile wasteland

Abundance

In the distance stood a vivid green tree
Full of delectable fruit
Birds housed in abundance

True Colors

True colors
True Love
A rainbow shines
We marvel
We are impressed
Its beauty is awesome
and so clear

The Man From La

There once was a man from L.A.,
who had grown used to sunny days,
moved to the northeast,
barely lasted a week,
January chased him away.

Birth of a Butterfly

I struggle and strive
I pump persevering flow
I knew I could fly

Fleeting Things

Fleeting things are like leaves in autumn
Spiraling in the uncertain breeze
Then to be gathered and burnt

Depths of Love

Love is a challenge
At best of times
But if our hearts be true
Love like water will find
Its true depths in you.

The Patient Crow

I am trying to learn Haiku form - is this haiku?

Crow patiently waits

Poised on a dry brittle twig

Death is not silent

Revealed

I walked into my darkened room
Looking for a pen
I couldn't see one
So I put the light on
And presto I found my pen
Light is wonderful
It reveals

Feathers

From the blue, blue sky
a feather turns on the breeze
Flightless memories

Turning down the sheets
I sink into feathered bed
On downy swan clouds

Premium Member Green Grootslang With Giant Tusks

A large green grootslang with giant tusks
shook down a bunch of red and yellow mollusks
hunted them down
Northeast of Gerogetown
Scaring sweet corn off of their stalks and husks

The Metamorphosis of Change

The thunder makes way for
the lightning
As does the caterpillar make way
For the Butterfly
So too do I make way for
The changes of
Christ in me

Vitamin Sea

I went to the beach
For my vitamin sea
To drink in the zing
Of an orange setting sun
As it spritzed liquid gold
Onto zesty shimmering sand

A Spanish Autumn

To the rhythm of Spanish castanets
The tempestuous autumn wind
beat the mosaic of colorful leaves
into a twirling, swirling flamenco dance

Hope

A relentless wind
Blows across arctic ice
So is the soul
Void of fruit
Sunshine and love

Winter’s arms are bare
in reserved anticipation
Spring waits longingly

Love

He stroked my hair
I yielded my heart
Into Him

His eyes opened doors
Inside me
I thought were closed

My longing is filled
With His divine love
I am set free

Through Rose Colored Glasses

Through rose colored glasses
I see your faults
Your lies
But I vowed it all
When I came to your bed
Even if the thorns scratch
The rose still offers me
Besides my pain
A sweet aroma
My love for you

Jasmine flower yellow white
Ever fragrant, ever bright
Never cease to leave in awe
Natural beauty, to me draw
Incline your smile towards the lake
Face northeast and I will take
Each wink you give with accompanying "go!"
Right into my heart and on them row

The Breeze and Me

The wind picks up the feathers
of the fallen bird
And carries it where it wills

It picks up the fallen leaves
Of autumn colors and carries them
Where it wills

The gentle breeze wraps around me
And whispers, you are mine my love
I am with you always

Breaking Dawn

Of
Divine
Glory
Pure and Holy
Born
From above
Child
Of God
Born
Of a virgin
Born
As man
You
Alone
Bore
All sorrow
Wiped away
All
Sin stain
Then gave us –
Your
Holy Name
The
SON
Has
 RISEN
And
Sheds
His light
For
All
To see
The
Breaking Dawn

In His Image

Wrap me up in your words
Float me like a feather
Seal me like a burning torch
Hot and pure refined like silver
Shining clear as crystal
Ringing out heavenly sounds
Stealing me with inner strength
For I am fearfully and wonderfully made
In Your image- Lord.

Haiku Hodge Podge Trio, Trees and Leaves

Gum trees line the road
To long outback red paddock
To my father's house

Olive green Gum leaves
On wind-swept red-sandstone hills
Flick like Brumby tails

Eucalypt tree leaves
Are food for our koala's
Round our Billabong

The Sculptors Pen

The sculptor’s pen writes my pain
Etched words flow in my veins
I writhe inside- distorted
I am controlled
Not by what I want
But by a vision
Perceived
Inside
The
Sculptors
Mind
Upon the
Floor
discarded
Scattered
Askew
His
Ideas
Control
What
I do

Romance Senryu Contest

From hospital bed
To dinner date and a rose
Your eyes held my heart

On valentine day
Our rose bush blooms crimson buds
Blushing memory

The stars shine tonight
I look up and you wink back
Your bright eyes hold me

Valentine Memory

From a hospice bed
To a special dinner date
And a wet Red Rose

I hold in my heart
The memory of that night
My Rose bush still blooms

In my night garden
My Rose bush exudes that night
My heart is embraced

A gentle rain falls
Creating weepy puddles
Reflective mirrors
