3 Card Monte
Gather your false prophets
and sycophants
 Bury your heads
in the deepest sand

Tell the same lies
as you sing to the choir
 Slave to the mirror
—and sleight of hand

(Dreamsleep: May, 2023)...

La Maree Monte
BENEATH A BLANKET
OF SADNESS
SHE WAITS
FOR THE TIME TO STILL
FOR THE WARM WIND
TO CARESS THE TIDE
AND CARRY HER OUT
IN WAVES OF BLISS
IN THE UNDERTOW
LOVE
THAT POWERFUL ELIXIR
THE POISON
AND THE CURE.

2000...

Quarta Da Conquista
Quarta da Conquista

A última
quarta-feira
de abril
desperta,
trabalhe
com afinco
e coragem,
para as metas
alcançar
e superar
os esforços
vão além
do monte e
sempre se faz
um, pouco
muito ,
mais e mais....

Hush!
Discreetly they be. Clandestine
Journeying a void voyage,
Made for each other
Madly in love.

Might be
A pin drops silently
Mind is a culprit.

Yesterday slumbers on a bed of thorns.

Hush!
Sweaters in making
Knits a sock, as well.

Footwear and footprints in love...

Heart Broken
Tore my heart open too many times
Committed such love crimes
Lost my love in a cross fire
Wondering why his life had to expire
Chris was his name
Chris was the reason they called him lame
Spent his life in sorrow
Though buried in a shallow grave
Engraved in stone Christopher Monte' Rivera...

A Walk To Remember
When i walk the plank I stare at the sharks But allow me to be frank When i look up all is dark My hands tied to my back And a duck tape wrapped on my mouth With my eyes full of doubt And my mind blanc like monte I smile in my heart As I hit the water I plunge to my death. But with my faith I wake in HIS bosom...

Premium Member So Cute Tm
There's a woman who eats Del Monte fruit Her plump cheeks are just so cute She has puffy short feet Dimpled ankles so neat But no longer fits in her new suit
She was eating the sugar sweetened kind.... An example of a poem like I would like for my contest ..I know you can do so much better....

Tell Me It Isn'T True
Tell me it isn't true
That he didn't hurt you too
Tell me that your not crying
Please tell me your lying
Why I ask you
Why I say
Why should this happen today
Onlt 13 years
Now we shead 13 tears
13 forever
Will my soul recover
My days and nights gets longer
Wondering if my days will get shorter
Feeling my heart getting heavy
The wish to hear his voice is driving me crazy
In loving memory Christopher Monte' Rivera...

A Sign of Good Taste
His jewel of chocolate delights
In dreams of love dare we behold,
That brings to continental nights
Such luxury enriched with gold.
In deuces rather than an ace
The Monte Carlo cards may fold
His gem will bring a smiling face
Such luxury enriched with gold
Of biking’s tragic final trip
The tears of loss the papers told
His love remains at fingertip
Such luxury enriched with gold
His jewel of chocolate delights
Such luxury enriched with gold....

Breakfast Cristo Monte Sandwich
Make a jelly sandwich.
Dip it in egg, vanilla,
and sugar that you've beaten.
Cover it with Swiss
cheese sauce
and put it under a broiler
until bubbly.
Eat with a fork and knife.
Serve with coffee,
and sliced tomatoes.
Cooking is what I like to do,
especially, sandwiches.
I love to pile them high
with lots of stuff, and try to
make them a beautiful
presentation.
We don't just eat with our mouths.
Our other senses eat the food too!...

Kimpa Vita
On the grounds of Kongo dya Ntotila
Monte Kibango saw you born
O fearless daughter that quiet talks
Nganga Marinda of Mwana Kongo´s clan
In “Antonianism“ your belief was let known
To the dogmas of the Catholic faith, you were contrary
“Heretic!” - To death the clergy condemned thee
On life, at the fire that burned much
Still, your goodbye was sincere
Now, in deep sleep
Crowned laurels, in eternal glory
Rest forgotten of the filthy settler...

Holding On
la vapeur monte, mon désir

A breeze brushes lightly across bare eyes
longing pools of desire penetrate
deep into the cradle that is you
and I crave to delve

Waters drip dewing at a touch
caressing the morning air
engulfed in passion's first kiss

My lair awaits the Ravens call
to dissipate
with nature's scent knocking
high upon your window

Hope rests in the middle
the church bells ring
my world keeps spinning
and I'm holding on  • to you...
