Pride Goeth Before a Fall

There was a young man from Lancaster
Who tried to do everything faster
He skied off a cliff
Landed on his midriff
And now he’s cemented in plaster

Silent Voyage

Eyes take flight
away from sleep, from words
to talk to moon.

Midnight dilemma
when a midriff blooms with
cactus dahlia.

Picking up the scent,
jasmine will unfurl a
new bouquet.

A Real Tall Texan

Mister hirsute and strong
   just felt totally wrong

The comedian was funny
   underneath not-so-sunny

A financier, short and stout
   his bulging midriff stuck out

So, she risked it all
   on a Texan real tall

But she learned her lesson
   without any question

The taller the 'you-all'
   the farther he falls

Ignition

Like a butterfly pinned
in a collage, fluttering.
Death makes a deal.

I was appalled
standing on the edge
watching the withering body.

The lake drowns me.
Seagulls were waiting
for a renaissance.

It is not even midsummer.
The planting of the kiss
remains incomplete.

No sex was involved
in baring midriff.
Moon ignites the legs.

Getting Dressed

For the young, getting dressed is a breeze.
They don’t mind showing midriff or knees.
Skirts cut up to the thighs
That might lure strangers’ eyes
Are no bother; they wear what they please.

As we age, though, the mirror decrees
That we bow to the image one sees
And at last recognize
That we must compromise
So my short-shorts have morphed to capris!

Fluff

I lay on the bed idling my time, My husbands in the bathroom he’s doing fine. He comes to bed and slips under the covers We lay together we were going to be lovers. I let my fingers walk across his midriff, They fell in a hole as big as though off a cliff. The good thing I found even though in a huff They had a soft landing with all the belly button fluff.

The Battle of the Bulge

Experts summoned
  War whoops drum on

Speculation ramps up
  Excitement amps up

Convoys move out
  Generals air doubts

Battle lines drawn
  The conflict dawns

It does not go well at all
In the end heavy losses fall

The ground reeks of sweat
  The rivers unusually wet

Even the winners groan
  Misery's echo moans

Need I still divulge
  Only losers win the Battle
    ~ of the Midriff Bulge...

Jealous of My Cartoon Hippie Woman

I could never wear this midriff top which is why you can
As an alter ego, you can have confidence like a man.
You can run free as a colt among the mushroom bed.
Be as sassy and sexy as you like, until you are dead.

As a cartoon woman, you have more rights than me.
You are not tied to one job or one man or tree.
Flowing like the wind, showing off your natural beauty,
You can do what you want every day, as is your duty.

6-16-13

Her midriff, sweet enough to eat off of,
What to concentrate on, rests slightly above;
From her belly, the best place to sip,
To drink wine, good enough to tip;
Her rump, her rear, the back of her front,
Something to leer at, something to hunt;
Nothing dressed upon her, is rotten to the core,
Perfect is she, she is everything to live for;
Her eyes, with their allure, nothing can match,
Her whole frame, she is the only thing to catch.

My Darling Tink's

We photographed this shoot
Against frosted glass
In the shape of hearts
That captured her class

Her long blond hair
Catches the light
Her curvaceous shape
Delights

Peachy skin
Immaculate pose
She looks
My love for her grows

White silk robe
In midriff drape
This vista, my view
I am left agape

Our shoot closes
The applause we take
As i turn to my Tink's
My darling, its you who makes

In Summertime

One week more, and it is summertime.
Done will be sweet spring, but in the sky
Sun climbs high now. Children want to have
Fun while parents in the heat may fry!

There is a way for all to beat the heat -
Where children love to go when not in school.
Bare your midriff. In the pool go play!
Glare of sun's less bothersome! You’ll stay cool!

That Is

Let be it.
The little bowl abandoning
the unreachable pink-light.
Ambrosia-
was searching a geometric center
of a smoking hub.

Flame-
of a bonefire was leaping
towards a topless tumbler.
The midriff
will spell a disaster.

A nomadic-
sleepwalker had become incandescent,
starts a prayer
for a condemned enemy.

My body was a river.
flowing-
on the impacted rocks of violence.
Was non-violence still relevant
in turbulent times ?

Give me some unreason today.
