and comforts all those who are on the mend.

His purring is magic; his meow is sweet.
He loves being petted and waits for a treat.

He brings about laughter while chasing his toy.

A wondrous place with skies of blue 

Excalibur's strong splendor 
Only makes other weapons pale
Lancelot, Guinevere and Arthur the King

To have been there would have been grand
If even on the wing of a bird

Riding the storms, 
     She was born.
     With a fishing rod in her hand,
     Better than most fishermen.

    Her aim was to catch the biggest fish,
    To make a delicious dish.
    She will feed all the homeless on the street,
    It will be a great feast.

   First she will lure it with her bait,
   And patiently wait.
   Determined and competent,
   She caught a Merlin.

   Now she can celebrate,

One day while cleaning inside my flat,
I screamed upon seeing a horrid rat.
I needed a mouser. While thinking of that,
in front of me there appeared a large cat
as if out of nowhere! Imagine that.
He found the huge rat, then caught it and spat
its dead head and body onto my mat.
Gobsmacked was I when he asked, “Wanna chat?
I’m Merlin. Unlike the Cat in the Hat,
my magic is "meow -good". I’m never a brat!”

Merlin warned King Arthur
of the Minotaur.
He had no need of twine-
his War Horse was Pegasus.
 
At the Labyrinth's end his Atomic Spear
pierced the Tauran Eye.
He had no thought of Camelot.
 
White wings lifted him
above the mushroom cloud–
through the purple gates-
to Satans' Den.
 
Merlin sat scowling at the Lady of the Lake -
Excalibur’s sheath had bloomed with
Forget - Me – Nots,
and Merlin's Crystal ball
was shrouded in a Nuclear Winter....
