That look in her Scotsman's eyes
When his darling opened her thighs
Such a welcoming sight
He entered his night
As loving groans mellowed to sighs
.
I remember well when I’d had enough
Used to scream a lot, I thought I was tough
But now that I have mellowed
I’m as scary as jello
With the bark and the bite of a creampuff
Any minute now,
It’ll be kicking in.
Counting endless sheep,
It’ll soon end.
My resistant brain,
mellowed.
It’s slow release,
puts it at ease.
At peace,
finally,
I can sleep.
A teacher by choice, a poet by chance and a wife and mother blest
Sensitive to such extent that even others’ misery moves me to tears.
Time has mellowed me, still like a child, touchy and itchy.
our rigid stance has mellowed down
innocent smile has replaced frown
essence of presence, innocence
abiding in tranquil silence
choosing to swim, rather than drown

With passion pulsating
our inflamed frenzy
impassioned our desire
Our eyes afire
our love could not tire
a love so personal
Now mellowed by seasons fled
togetherness is kindled
where passion has dwindled
Again
Beautiful
Creative
Damsel,
Enter
Flawlessy
Gracious
Heaven...
I
Joyfully
Kindredly
Laughed
Mellowed
Never
Obcessive;
Pleasingly
Quiet
Regaining
Strength
Time
Uncovered
Vixen
Without
X-tremes

What do you want on your pizza?
the young voice queried.
Please,
A crust not too crispy so for a mellowed life,
Extra cheese oozing love,
Generous with the pepperoni of fidelity,
And light on the sauce of regrets.
Dreams,desires,bitter so sweet
An adolescent trail trodden,
Engulfed by moods,melancholy and sudden;
Aches from a first love leaving,
Painful ye poignant;
Novel experience sadden,then abates
Then will gladden
As mellowed..anticipation awaits.

Engulfed by moods,melancholy and sudden;

Painful yet poignant;

Then will gladden
As mellowed..anticipation awaits.
My heart soaked in enticing wine
Drunk with love and mellowed,
Hangs out on a flower-laden bough
With new charm is endowed.
Come quickly my dear, oh, my love,
Come, for life is fleeting,
Ha, as soon as a flower blooms
Its beauty but takes wing!
LIFE'S SEESAW
Dreams,desires,bitter so sweet
An adolescent trail trodden,
Engulfed by moods,melancholy and sudden;
Aches from a first love leaving,
Painful ye poignant;
Novel experience sadden,then abates
Then will gladden
As mellowed..anticipation awaits.
On a blooming boulevard of beautiful palm trees,
Fragrances and fronds fluttered in fresh breeze,
Sunset parakeets perched in a purple twilit town,
Hushed moonlight mellowed after the meltdown.

Lemony sun rose
when creamy clouds were wafting
Noon was mellowed gold
Yellow rose danced feverish
when odd birds sang gibberish
Sunshine rose preened proud
for it was her time to shine
perfumed prettily
Marmalade honey summer
in colors that become her
from the bottom of your heart,
mellowed by touch;
verses read from your eyes,
all is clear enough.

rabbits rapidly running fast
chasing chocolate covered raisins grass
and how long do you think this will last
as my present becomes my past
only thing left are burping over weight bunnies
drinking marsh-mellowed hot minted chocolate

THE VISIT
Mellowed rose buds
In sweet morning dew
Stand glazed in amber dawn
Slightly yawning;
Basking in the warm sunshine
Green lizards mock
Smiling blades of grass;
Across the parkway
A swollen grave reflected
Another child nipped
In the bud of hope:
We wept the visit.
I listen to the music and
Get a whiff satuated by the steak
You prepare...Ah!
But I won't partake,
Because I only want you
To fee me kisses and
Drink the wine mellowed by
The warmth provided by
Your warm, tender embrace.
Don't set the table for two,
Remember I only want you
To feed me kisses.
Flurries of fall fling fabulous colors,
Drifting silent in dreamy discolor.
Marvelous, mellowed, midday, matinee,
Plummy and peaceful as red songbirds play!
Isolated, intriguing, gold, immense,
In fields of faded blooms beyond a fence.
Real beauty ripens in seasons of sun!

I gobbled some turkey and cranberry sauce,
Potatoes – both mashed and marshmallowed,
Cooked carrots and string beans, a nice cold beer –
To keep my mood stress-free and mellowed.
I’m taking a break before pie a la mode
And please do not think that I’m boasting,
But leftovers from a Thanksgiving meal
Are worth all the efforts of hosting!
There’s no denying that she's aged
and mellowed in that easy way
such lovely women do.
Love of life has left its traces
around her eyes and mouth.
And she carries,
comfortably,
in that tastefully wanton way of hers,
a little more of Ruby than she did.
But still she feels the warmth
in grateful glances that she leaves behind.
songs of all songs your voice
inside this mellowed heart of mine
resonates
with me
you are the added note
to a melody already playing
in my soul
an ode to our love
like waves of the ocean
you pour over me
like a river
The apple tree
With its sunshine
Sought its entry
At my window
I was busy
I liked it though
Its smile and glow
Had to decline
Now when I see
With you the shine
Pain of green pine
Clouds the hilltops
In the lone blues
Time seek dew drops
Once the full stops
Lost the warm sea
Still, I look at
Mellowed beauty
Out of pity
If it comes once

Those young women do not leave me lost.
Most comfortable still
are their coming and leaving.
I dip my whiskers into their still sensual froth
dab my lips with their parting kisses.
Such is an old man’s tipple
the sweet nipple of much younger days
when taste buds had not waned
of such furious passions,
Wearied am I not, yet mellowed now
within a warmer heart.
I used to harbor lofty dreams
Of winning wealth and fame.
I vainly dreamed about a time
When the world would know my name.
But time and those rejection slips
Have tempered my wild dreams.
The ceaseless grind of passing years
Has mellowed me, it seems.
So now I breathe, create, and write
Simply because I must.
No longer do I crave those things
For which I used to lust.
