In a time machine

On Mars it's a man you will see.
On Venus a lady will be.

Perhaps there’s life on Mars,
With boats, TV and bars:
A world the same as ours.
With the possibility of underground lakes, could there be life on the red planet, after all?

Mars loved to celebrate Halloween night
Not needing a costume was his delight
A green alien from outer space
Had costume parties at his place
No one ever knew he was a real fright
Why not a civilization on the moon
Before attempting a Mars trip, more opportune
Horse before cart
A better place to start
No astrologist but common sense does loom
My musings launched into the stratosphere
Marching to Mars’ trending atmosphere
It's 2025
At midnight it’ll arrive
I’ll be taking time out in the new year

A grub was within
