Shined their light in gratitide

Ground mice, dodging the strike
Sought warmth in familiar covens

minute fluttering
flicker over my stomach;

An early germinal stage,

Rudimentary hiccups

Invisible behind my bump grows,
an immature being -
I've seen it 
at scan stage.
Underdeveloped,
a miracle -

My future,
my hopes,
my dreams.
My child....
