Thanks David, you do point out the difference between drugging of women (commonly done for sex) or that of an animal, which would attack any prey directly. Makes some of us men look pretty shabby. I'm glad I've never drugged anyone. It's puts some men pretty low on the chain. Smiles!!

Oh course the vast majority of men are decent Duke, and will try chat up a date, the misogynistic ones will go to any lengths to try sedate and defile what they see as easy prey, this one was meant more metaphorically than figuratively, but gets the message across nonetheless, cheers again, David

Your words work so well as a general observation of some men v most beasts. With beasts tendencies being generally the more noble and honest than those of the worst of men, so bravo, David. However, I see some knobhead (oops, I mean misguided person) has inspired this write. As ever, I missed out on the causal event, but it seems that makes me the lucky one. Terry

I am going through all your comments and I seem to be missing something. Anyway. Just to comment on the poem I see here, I think it's good. Man can certainly be more emotionally offensive than animals ever could be. By door it's date, I am thinking rape date drug?

A cyberspace battle of the strongest 'tis was, matie, let's keep these dangerous men here tucked away and not where they can do real harm out in the real world. Loved the shanty, David! Thanks to a poet who called it to my attention, they were so upset and I vowed to make it the top of my (agenda) list to right one of many wrongs! haha. In other words, instead of charcoal tears dripping down our cheeks. Some men don't know 'woman'

The women are the strongest Anaya, and you were in the vanguard of the offensive, I’m just speaking my mind with no agenda whatsoever, but I do have women/family in my life who achieved so much through hard graft it’s humbling! My fave is in David! There are men who think they're god's gift, men who think women are god's gift to them, men who say what sounds good when looking to be crowned "greatest of all time". What we saw on the Soup was a 'man' intimidated by a changing world who has a need to feel superior to women, to trans people etc. Men, Women and non binary will happily be together eating the green grass, the trolls can just stay under the bridge getting outsmarted by all that trot over it. Excellent poem!
