When ugly is magnified
It becomes scary, repulsive
So let your inner beauty grow
Let this be your magnification...

Premium Member CHRISTMAS MAGNIFICATION
intense devotion
swaying with emotion
in
  heightened expression

magnifying the Lord
 in language transcended

rising to heaven
transformed
   by the finger
of God

a thank offering
to reach
   the ears of the Lord

Close up
the microscope
shows the hidden beauty
and unique design of each grain
of sand

painted
with loving care
and consideration
as a gift from heaven to me
by God.

close up of sand painted by God

Yourself
time is a essential essence to the tune of
every note. Beauty and magnification are
the fruit of every soul. My thoughts and
feelings nullify preexisting fate., set your
feelings over the sun, and make a sun set.
Move with the wind to each endless
manner and become apart...

MAGNIFICATION ------------------ Close up, the rare metal shows me its greyish form: no dots or dashes here. A disappointment, for I heard once a scientist say that under microscopes the dots and dashes seem to bleep a Morse code that would save the world and more.

Target In the Sights
Long range shot
Four hundred and ten yards
Almost touching distance by magnification

The target there - be careful
Taking note of wind drift
Now another click

Steady
Be steady
A most gentle squeeze on the trigger

A good shot ,target hit and down
The man who was he ?
What was his name?...

Magnification
Close up look at a gorgeous glow
that roused a heart for blood to flow;
Fair sheets that bloomed in sweeping scope
when peeped through lens of microscope.

Vivid hue in radiant tone
whose loveliness sinks to the bone;
Purplish pink rose in gorgeous gleam
like swirling clouds on skyline seam.

I'D Prefer Haggis
The last time someone dropped into our pool,

it broke our concentration for crock school.

I didn’t join the food frenzy,

prefer Scots called Mackenzie.

So take this one mates, silk chutes bind my stool!

* For the “To Die for Limerick” contest. Hard to tell crock or gator from this magnification....

The Invasion of Privacy
The invasion of privacy…

Is an assault on personal life
A public display
Of a private retreat

The invasion of privacy…

Is an intrusion on a closed conscience
A public magnification
Of a secluded soul

The invasion of privacy…

Is a foray into isolated territory
A public attack
On a silent psyche

The invasion of privacy…

Is the terrorism of individual emotion!...

Close up, under the petrologic microscope,
high-power modern optics scans
a mineral set in a thin rock chip matrix.
Viewed in the polarized light,
on the rotating microscope stage,
sunset hues sweep across the grain,
the mineral flashes fiery colors,
defined by its crystal structure.
A geologist tells me it’s a precious mineral,
hidden in its natural habitat of rock fabric.

What Is Poetry
Webster’s definition is: “literary art,”
a magnification from the heart,
where creativity can grow,
ideas and emotions flow,
a canvas for the written word,
a language where one’s thoughts are heard.

Rhyme or free verse will unfold,
how memories and dreams are told,
with self definition the writer brings
feelings and views on limitless things.
Unwilling to be too defined
it is each authors’ state of mind

Close up, secrets uncovering
I find myself hovering over
a modern, optical microscope
Out of focus (coarse adjustment)
Blurred image corrected,
revealing… clear-felled trees?
Sharper detail (fine adjustment)
Microscope mesmerizing as colors burst
Scale thickness less than 0.55 micron
Small rake angle and smoothness
implies low friction coefficient
Light permanence even, shadowless—
Finest quality from Istanbul
Wish I had a roomful...

Premium Member A Pastward Glance
I've learned
to never stare at my past in a rear view mirror.
I take no delight in mistake magnification,
nor do I derive and degree of satisfaction in fact distortion,
or in having past sins appear closer than they are.
For past sins, once under the blood, are road kill.
which, in retrospect, leaves me with this thought.
I've found that seldom were things as bad as they first appeared,
never as good as I would have liked them to be,
but always better than I, a sinner, deserved....
