What Is Poetry

Webster’s definition is: “literary art,”
a magnification from the heart,
where creativity can grow,
ideas and emotions flow,
a canvas for the written word,
a language where one’s thoughts are heard.

Rhyme or free verse will unfold,
how memories and dreams are told,
with self definition the writer brings
feelings and views on limitless things.
Unwilling to be too defined
it is each authors’ state of  mind

I enjoy the diverse poetry so I am never bored by most of what I read. I am happy to have read your poetry this morning Liz.
