Fighting Words

My wife got very angry and robust,
and her fists were quickly thrust.
She asked what’s on the T.V.
and then lunged at me,
when I said that it’s probably dust.

Gossip

Words used to sever humanity Lunged with disdain and fierce brutality Glinting, steel tongued cruelty Hollow of joy, music and grace

Gone

Shining hard was the opportunity,
I lunged to get it definitely,
Shine was put out and the thing gone,
I remained standing alone,
Life also goes off like this often seeing opportunities go by.

Discussion About Repurcusion

Lunged and Plunged

What we did have was a major discussion,
Regarding what would be the repercussion;
Danger was near;
Hope does disappear;
Are many things that can cause a concussion.

You Can Buy Anything These Days

YOU CAN BUY ANYTHING THESE DAYS ( LIMERICK )

Me farm stuff was up on the block

The Trouser Snake

There once was a king cobra called Lance,
Who heard music and went in a trance.
People thought he was asleep,
As his thoughts were so deep.
Then he reared up and lunged for their pants.

Lunged and Plunged

Lunged and Plunged

Sin of much temptation again luridly lunged;
Be careful or deep in debt will have plunged;
Errors made,
In stock trade;
Records of my stupidity then were expunged.

Jim Horn

Can you imagine if all stocks that espoused
sin were in their own stock marker so we
would not be tempted by them.

Growing Too Fast

Time stopped,
I did not,
grew in length,
breadth
and depth,
depth drilled like hell,
ripping in duties,
smashing in relations,
and leaving a load of burden,
I was more worried than free,
depreciation was faster,
and priorities changed,
I swelled,
gelled,
and swelled,
was about to burst,
fortunately stopped time lunged ahead.

Kids

we we're so young
you were mine
and i yours
in innocence
we played all day
i still remember that day
with a two big v neck sweeter
and short black hair
you lunged at me
and
you kissed me
then one day
you moved away
it was no different
we moved so much
people coming in and out
of my life
i was a stone
i started this
trying to wright a happy poem

Premium Member Kenosha Burned Last Night

Kenosha burned last night,
The flames engulfed the streets.
The peaceful protestors rioted.

Shops and stores set alight,
The flames lunged forward.
The peaceful protestors looted.

Homes and houses lit so bright,
The flames rolled toward them.
The peaceful protestors rampant.

The Gov denounced police
And bound the NG with ROE.
The peaceful protestors released.

Shadows

Shadows by Shane Cogan (2013)

Silently it lunged forward, then backwards
Hesitating, it reached out and touched its prey
Alarmed by its own reflection, it’s feet gave way
Downwards it began to fall, until it reached the darkness below
Overtly large, awkward and blinded, it searched around
Wasted, decayed, overgrown, it sensed its new surrounding
Shadows encircled the being; a final tour de force

Premium Member scottish dog sits on Celtic mamas lap

Scottish dog sits on his Celtic mama’s lap
Barking, growling, and lunging at every sap
Who dares to try to court his mama, Miss LaBlap.
You’ll never get married, says her Grandpa Rap.

That may be says his granddaughter, who likes to clap.
But I need my doggie, he keeps suiters from annoying me during my nap.
You are the only woman I know who likes being single said Grandma Rap.
Scottish dog began growling at her too, and lunged at her lap.

Culinary Delight

CULINARY  DELIGHT

She was an easy baker’s assistant
I was a dough boy with experience scant
She had the most delicious looking buns -
The attraction was irresistible, like priests to nuns.

As I lunged for her in the parking lot
I accidentally  grabbed her yoghurt pot;
She didn’t want to risk it
So she squashed me biscuit.

More difficult than I reckoned,
It was all over in a second -
Messy and regrettable
But always unforgettable.

Time

That ever elusive continuum
Which one thinks shall be, is suddenly now, and then has been already
Consistent, precise, and measurable
Beware the charlatan
Who sprints and creeps with equal ease
Lunged after but never held
You escaped once more
And then dispersed like the morning mist
Insensitive, indifferent and undeterred
Unconcerned about pain or pleasure
Rude and fickle and frugal
Friend or foe
Is it worth asking
What are you to me?

Panacea

Mom thought I believed her lies
as misery dripped from her eyes

Every new wound, shiny and bright
Caused by falling in the mid of night.

That night, I stayed up and waited
Till he came back inebriated

Pulled the trigger as he lunged at her
Sure and calm my adolescent hands were.

Her skin won’t ever bleed pain unsaid
And blossom in purple and red.

Farewell To the Vampire

Parted curtains
puff of smoke.
Parlor trick
or cruel joke?

First a bat,
then human form—
eyes aglow,
fangs enorm.

And in the mirror,
no image there;
it stilled my heart
and stifled prayer.

But Drac was old
and suffered so;
his timing off,
reactions slow.

As he lunged
I stepped aside;
mallet ready,
his chest I eyed.

He lay there stunned,
at last my break;
I then asked how
he’d like his stake.
