Somehow, on my natal day

silent death,
musty smell,
the parents couldn’t tell,
he weeps,
they sleep
chilly night,
cold heart,
bright light,
sadly it waits,
to be discovered,
black birds covered the sky,
no silent cry,
and there was no apparent reason,
they covered the moon,
as death lingered,
a cold breath,
and death loomed....

The paths were shoveled clean.
In Central Park today it was
Delightful and serene.

A lonely jogger trotted by;
A nanny pushed her charge.
Some dogs on leashes sniffed and strained;
The cloud-filled sky loomed large.

A'stroll across the park,
Enveloped by the vista
