Come Sail Away

~~~
The pitch o' night her captain feared
her leeward pending doom
November's raging breath
ensnared
to daunting reef she loomed
Her belly shattered
pitched and gorged
as raging swells
reclaim
The drift of break
flew
blizzard cold
~
Come Sail Away...
I really love this one, how rhythmical it is and how you ended it. Awesome little poem
Nice, flows so easily yet inspires an image well.
Thankyou... not being a sailor myself, I had to research their jargon to best get my idea across. I saw a sailboat a couple years ago caught on a reef during a wind storm. The people made it off safely but the hull of the boat was battered and broken from the waves... decided it would make an interesting poem.
