Notes About The Poem

Blown About in the Wind

It'd taken root in desert sands
a cactus that never bloomed
for in its past a secret loomed...
struck down as justice demands

Left to blow about in the wind,
detached from what was real
no guilt or remorse did it feel...
just a vagabond who had sinned

Lin, a great poem. There are those who still " feel no guilt or remorse" yet continue to steal from others. A vagabond who drifts from site to site escaping the reality of their sins.

Exactly, Tania. Once again the guilty plays the victim.

I felt the sting of the wind when I was a vagabond and a sinner, now just reflections that quickly pass

Frederic, from those vagabond years are the wonderful lines you write. I hope you never stop reflecting.

Lin, one would be surprised what a scirocco uncovers. Today I came across the word "it'd." Which I had to look up because I haven't seen the word used by writers that often. Thanks for sharing.

Haha. I tend to write what comes to mind. I sometimes use the word ‘titch’ which to me means a little bit.

There are more than enough here, Tom, claiming innocence.
